Yeah, I'm wondering which game I should get. The options are either Gears of War 2, or Left 4 Dead. I'm open to other suggestions, as long as they're fairly checp to buy.

When you make your suggestion, be clear, and say why you recommend said game. I don't want: "Ogm! G3ts Gears cuz it R awsum!!". I want a good summary of why it's a good game, not just a short sentence. Also, instead of flaming against someone because they chose the game you didn't, just say why the game you recommend is better.

Much appreciated.

I'd say wait a month or so for Left 4 Dead 2. The first was fun, as I've always enjoyed FPS's and it had some good humor in it, so hopefully they won't mess up the formula with the sequel.

Well, L4D can be a real barrel of laughs.
it's fun to play with friends. especially if you do vs with friends on your team, maybe even against.
so basicly, it's got good multiplayer.
As I've played both... For me, I prefer L4D multiplayer.
just so fun playing as the infected...

I say Gears 2. Not only does it have a fun campaign, but its story is pretty interesting. Its multiplayer is great. (cant say the same for the players though) Plus its got horde mode which is a blast with friends.

If you want the game RIGHT NOW, then I'd say go for GoW2. But, if you're willing to wait another month, I'd say hold out and pick up Left 4 Dead 2 when it comes out. L4D, while a LOT of fun and a VERY enjoyable game (One I'd rather play over GoW2 any day of the week), is pretty much just the beta for L4D2.

L4D has a much stronger team based play, and a much more interesting and unique vs. game play. There are few things as enjoyable as wall pouncing that lone survivor around a corner as a hunter, or getting that great 4 man boom in the middle of an open field where they've got no where to hide, or the smoker pull off that high ledge that sends a survivor crashing to the ground below. Infected play is some of the most fun I've had in a game in a very long time. And L4D2 is going to have all of that PLUS more.

Of course, that's just my opinion of it. I could be wrong. *Shrugs*
