I love video games. I have a lot of friends that love video games. Whenever we hear about some brilliant new release or true gem that lies within the category of "video game" we always try to learn more about it, and later try to buy it.
However, I have fallen victim to a particular kind of apathy that I terribly regret having. Sometimes, I just won't get a game, even if I wanted it.
This is about those games that you wanted, but never got around to purchasing. As a result, they just sort of drifted by you, and have become a memory, a very sad memory.
The game that I never got around to getting was Star Wars: Republic Commando. People on this site may very well chastise me for not getting it. I really did want it. I played the demo that was on the KotOR 2 game disc and enjoyed every second of it. But, I just never got around to buying it, which is something I regret to this day. From what I hear, it was a truly brilliant example of squad-based shooting, simple and elegant, but also incredibly fun. Then again, I have no way of knowing, since I never played it in full.
Has anybody else here done the same thing?
