which games have the best ads?

most big brand games have adverts before they release or within the first month of being released to draw in sales obviously.
Now some of these adverts are good, some bad, so reply in this thread what adverts you liked what adverts you didn't and games you thought there should be an advert for.
i think that the halo series has produced the best ads with:
Halo 3: believe
Halo 3 ODST: we are ODST
Halo Reach deliver hope

all of these, in my opinion are pretty good ads in my opinion

Ditto on Halo. I shudder to think of the epicness that would occur if the guys who made them got to make a big name movie. On second thoughts, 2 hours of slightly slowed down action with haunting music would probably get boring.

The Mercenaries 2 ad had a great catchy theme to it too.

i know it sounds stupid but when master cheif looked at me in halo 3 believe ad, i got goosebumps and i haven't seen an ad for merceneries 2 i'll go look it up on youtube

The halo ads yes those were good.
the gears ads also manage to capture that same sad epicness.

Can I say MGS4 at the very start? Like the chef cooking snakes, the biker getting stabbed by a massive metal mantis and the workout guy.

The only other gamer related ad I like was the XBOX one, were the guy flys from the mothers va jay jay, grows older and crash lands in his grave, such an awesome advert.

(shame the blue rinse brigade had to complain "about it's graphic content".)
