Oh my god I am going to be hated.

Deus ex.
I just don't.
I'm sorry.
Agree. I just can't get into it. I've gotten as far as the inside of the statue of liberty but the stealth is just awful.
That's because the first two missions are boring. Many have quit the game because of the two missions, those that pushed forward have found the game to be excelent.

OT: I really don't hate any classic game infact, there is more older games that I'm going to play in the next few months than newer.

I can understand you not liking them, thats your own opinion, but saying crap like this is the stuff that starts flame wars.
Agreed, and flame wars are baaaaaaaaaad.

OT: Hmm tough one but i agree with saying that the original Goldeneye was fiddly and just uninteresting , and the shooting was just so infuriating. Especially oddjob on multiplayer... Oh god no.

Halo as a whole. I don't own the games, but of what I've played of multiplayer, I just can't get into it. Partially controls, partially because everyone I play with (friends who own the game) just kick everyone's ass at the game without much effort.

Zelda (I can live with Majora's mask and twilight). To most, most every game feels the same. On top of that, Link is such a boring character. I think what pisses me off the most is he can't jump. Make whatever logical reason for his non-jumping you want, but we all know he can do it, it's just not in the game as a normal action and it pisses me off.

Final Fantasy... I refuse to become a part of whatever this really is. It doesn't look interesting. It doesn't sound interesting. So I'm just going to avoid this like the plague.

EDIT: And Warcraft is fun to play every now and then, but I think I just found it to be too boring to play for too long, so I think it's just turned me off RTS in general.

Well every Jrpg including the raise little battlemonster ones. from NES to future's x-station 3000 its just boring me to death.
Alot classics i liked back then arent that great anymore, we just have soooo many games coming out every year now, that its hard to see the same thing in a simple shooter like millions of that kind, when it isnt the only simple shooter around anymore.

Loathe is a pretty strong word, but I never really got what everyone saw in GoldenEye for the 64. I always thought it was ugly and fiddly and imbalanced and just generally pretty bad.
pff goldeneye for the 64 is pretty good.. i would say it's the halo for the n64.. :p the games are alot alike in some ways..

as for classics i don't like so much, well.. none i really hate i can't really bring myself to hate on a game concidered a classic, there are alot of them i don't like though..

link can jump, it's just that he's so awesome he have to do a backflip every time he does it.. btw why can you live with majoras mask and twilight princess and not ocraina of time? also twilight princess is probably to me the 5th best zelda game.. : p

hmm also cool to see the people hating on nintendo games not mentioning the DKC series, which was brilliant..

and if your gonna base your hating on a game on graphics, it would be nice if you could come up with an example of a game from the same year that had better graphics.. would be great if people specified abit more than just saying they hate a game, i mean if you hate platformers in the first place, then there is a bad chance you would ever liked the mario games.. so if you like another game of the same genra that you feel was a better game, that would be kewl to see mentioned aswell. : >

I just read the entire thread, and I must say:

"BY FIRE BE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRGED!"

J/k, but my urge to flame starts to grow, and with some of you guys I agree, but really, it brings tears to my eyes when i see titles like Pokemon, Half-Life and Psychonauts being slaughtered.

(sorry for doubly post)

Pretty much all of Nintendo because they refuse to release anything new. Between Zelda 40, Metroid 15 and Mario 87, they seem to have completely run out of new ideas all together and even the originals aren't that good.

zelda,halo,final fantasy,resident evil,silent hill,deus ex,pokemon games i cannot like them
zelda too damn boring, halo i tried to like it i seriously did i bought the first and second but both were boring as hell, the guns looked like sex toys more than obvious guns, the enemies had some really bad modelling, the sound effects were crap and the level design was the worst(you couldn't tell if you were proceding or walking in circles) ,final fantasy is a JRPG,RE has more puzzles with various stones, keys and switches then the count of zombies in the game, silent hill the same as RE,deus ex because the stealth was half assed and you could never tell if you are gonna get away from a guy or not while hiding, pokemon games well because it's about pokemons and i always found pokemons to be kiddy as hell even when i was 7
i only watched pokemons for a couple of months when i was like 5 and then it got boring.

Pokémon and Zelda. I have liked one game in both series, and every other game just seemed samey and boring to me.
I guess that's why I don't revere Nintendo as much as most people do.

Really FFVII. I just didn't think it was fun to play. The battle system felt boring to me and I didn't like the story.
One of the more recent games is Uncharted2. Which I absolutely disliked. 100%.

Pac-Man ... it's boring.

Also depending on what you consider classic... Halo

Scratch that:

All of the Pokemon games.

I don't know if it could be considered a classic yet but one game that I was completely dissapointed with was Shadow of the Colossus. In its attempt to be artsy I thought it pretty much cut away all that that could have enjoyable with the game. There was no simple enemies to kill, no items to find, no levels to gain, no dungeons to explore - just epic bosses to kill.

When there's nothing mundane to balance out the extraordinary however the extraordinary ceases to feel special, it just becomes thoroughly dull. So yeah, Shadow of the Colussus I loathed. I could never bring myself to even like it.

I also don't like the Metroid series after Super Metroid on the SNES. In my opinion they should have let Samus die in peace with her original designer then instead of abusing the poor girl's corpse, in the newer 'Prime' editions.

Like many others I don't much like the Zeldas any longer either. I used to be a rabid fan of the series but it's just gone downhill for a very long time now. Every new 'innovation' they've brought to the formula has dissapointed me, especially since these innovations most of the time actually detract from the gameplay that's enjoyable. Instead it merely add some annoying gimmicky feature, for example the Boat business in Wind Waker, the dumb time restrictions in Majora's Mask or the Wolf Form drivel in Twilight Princess.

Fallout 3, i just could not get into it. it was incredibly dull up until i just stopped playing.
World of Warcraft, i got a weeks free trial, and i gave up after 15 minutes. killing X amount of monster Y just to get useless equipment is NOT FUCKING FUN.

I wouldn't say I loathe any games, but I never finished Half-Life, and HL2 was full of really annoying parts (damn vehicles). A mention also goes to Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and KoTOR (assuming they are old enough to be considered as such) because or their horrid gameplay.

King's Quest. A torturous experience at least until they became point and click adventures, rather than input arbitrary command adventures.

Mega Man. Well, 2 and 10 at least.
It's boring, it's hard, it's glitchy and it's one of the best games on the NES, apparently.

I'd hate to play the worst.
