Which grammar errors are acceptable?

There are some grammatical errors you frequently see people hating on. But some errors don't bother people a bit. For instance, even if you have humorously labeled yourself a grammar nazi, I bet you didn't feel the slightest bit of annoyance that I used the split infinitive and ended the sentence with a preposition. So what grammatical errors would you say are okay?

Edit: I originally used the subject line "What grammar errors are most okay?" but a helpful soul explained that I was using incorrect grammar.

The difference between 'to' and 'too' is usually fine, I rarely see anyone correcting that with blood spittled rage.

It pisses me off though...

I have to re-read it just to make sure I fully understand the sentence.

I'm willing to forgive most errors unless they're the youtube standard of bad, unless I'm feeling petty, that is.

I learned that i doesnt make sense to correct all the time. Its just the same as it is with sex and violence online. If seen so many so bad mistakes, that i dont really care about the little ones anymore.
I still judge, but i dont share my thoughts all the time.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm Swedish, so I can't learn that kind of thing that easily, so it's great when people help me out.

Only the most blatant of errors get much notice, but the inner grammar nazi can only take so much lack of punctuation or capitalization before getting twitchy. Ebonics also gets under my skin when written out, but everyone learns language a bit differently.

I usually rage when the writer makes no attempt to punctuate. It's a character flaw of mine, actually

edit: oh yes, i forget. I also quietly (seething-ly) rage when people type in urban vernacular (i.e. 'dey start 2 type lyk dis'). If I die because of an anuerysm in front of the computer, You will now know the true culprit.

Since my girlfriend is also dyslexic, I'm usually quite forgiving of HER spelling/grammar errors, even when she's not. That said, I usually don't get my panties in a bunch too often, but I will use the 'our' argument with Americans sometimes, just to amuse myself.

Informally, I can let them all slide. If I don't understand the sentence as a result, I'll ask for confirmation or just leave it be. Formally, they tick me off.

As long as I can understand it, and it isn't "formal" writing, I don't all that much. It's when I have to do a double take that I go, "clean that up".

I try to write correctly, but I'm not always successful and I always double check my spelling when I'm unsure about a word.

Online, grammar pretty much means nothing.

In the real world, incorrect apostrophe use make me unhappy, same with semi-colons. However, in my experience most people just write around them rather than making whatever they are doing look stupid.

Accidental Americanisms (since im in the UK) are pretty much universally accepted, since it really depends what computer you are on as to which it will tell you is correct.

When I read I just skim things, I don't read every word so when there is a grammatical error it throws me off, this helps with spelling mistakes though because I don't notice them unless I've got my pretentious cap on.

One thing I can never let slide however, "Alot".. it's "A LOT" (SEETHING BLOODLUST FURY!!!)

I got caught up in an argument with someone recently about certain mythological grammatical rules, such as the first you've mentioned. I guess I made quite an impression, as by the end of the debate he hit on me. I told him he should never end a sentence with a proposition.

The only thing that is my absolute pet hate is "your" and "you're". I cannot stand that one little bit and being on facebook I see it a lot. It actually makes me angry.

It depends on the content. If you are going to post a one or two line comment on something trivial then bad grammar and spelling is acceptable (although you can get spell checker add ons for browsers making spelling errors a bit inexcusable), if you are the OP, or adding to an intelligent forum conversation, you should only expect people to take it seriously if you take the time to proof read or use a word processor first.
