Which Hitman to buy?

Okay, so my local pre-owned games store has every Hitman in stock, and I'm trying desperately to decide which one to get. Gamespot and Metacritic can only help so much, as reviews only tell half the story, so I was wondering if you guys, the gamers, can tell me which one has the right stuff for me to spend my money on.

Also, if it helps, all are the same price.

I have only played Blood Money, but that one is quite good, so I recommend that.

Blood Money. It's the most polished and in my opinion the best out of all of them. The first one is not a good game, and although the second improved greatly upon it, Blood Money is still my recommendation.

I have only played Blood Money, but that one is quite good, so I recommend that.

I concur blood money is the way to go...however, if you havent played the other games contracts wouldn't be to bad you know as a second option... theres not much of a story though just random missions of murder.

Blood Money's my favourite. Though Contracts is quite good too. Codename 47 is awful, plus Contracts is really just a remake of it anyway. Everyone says 2 is the best and had the most freedom where as Blood Money was more confined. I found 2 really difficult though.

Go for Blood Money, it's the best introduction to the series I think. A lot of fun too, some very nice easter eggs.

The one that came after Hitman 2 was pretty good (I'm seriously blanking on the name) but yeah Blood Money is where it's at. We will be disappointed if you don't get it.

Yea I don't know about that, I started playing K&L2 yesterday, got halfway through the second level and uninstalled.

Blood Money is easily the best choice. While the other games are good since they lead the way for it, Blood Money had the best story arch. I only wish I had completed it to see the awesome ending I heard about, but I seriously suck at stealthy games.

You can just run and gun the game if your really bad at it, I mean it works its just not as much fun.

Oh the ending is so the opposite of stealth. Its freaking amazing

I know you can run and gun, but that's just so very "How not to play Hitman". Hitman was always great for screwing around though. I think I remeber a level at a christmas party with an elevator and I'd climb on top of it and just keep pulling people up through the hole with the wire. Fun times.
Also I have watched videos of the ending and that's part of the reason why I kind of wish I had pushed through it

On the suburbs level I managed to take out every single person in the level without anyone else being aware of it.

Blood Money. I have owned that game for years and I still play it finding new things in it that are just hilarious.
