i saw videos of boths gameplay and i though inFAMOUS looked better so i got, i have not been disapointed, and yahtzee's reveiw pretty much sums it up, there is no inbetween on the evil. But i am impressed with inFAMOUS, and will get prototype, seeing as i am a sucker for sandbox games.

These threads about comparing the Two are still happening? Who decided these to games needed to be compared? Shut up about it. if you like sandbox games buy both, if you don't, don't by either.
Coming from the lucky mother fucker who may find himself caught in a three way.
Relevance?

Prototype is great but the story is disjointed and not very satisfying. Alex Mercer is not a character that evokes sympathy or empathy in any way. He's just your death vehicle in your quest to wreak havoc. Of course all the destruction is a blast but after a week I was done with the game and not interested in playing it anymore.

InFamous doesn't have that same visceral satisfaction of pure chaos that Prototype does, but it's way more slick. The graphic novel presentation of story elements is awesome and you find yourself looking forward to the next one. Combat is exciting and fun, mostly because Cole isn't a brick shithouse who can soak up bullets. Run into a firefight unprepared and you're going to be reloading very soon. That's a good thing though.

So far, I like InFamous better. But both are great games for what they are.

The joke can be understood by reading your own post, and then reading mine.
Two Video games that are slightly similar.

Sex involving 3 people.

NOPE can't seem to find it. I wasn't comparing anything in my thread, nor was my thread something that has been posted 40 times in the last 2 weeks.

Yes, but you have to admit, the story in inFamous is'nt exactly not generic either. Also, I think thats the point with Alex. He's not supposed to be the kind of character you can love. He's the kind of guy your supposed hate. Hell, even before the virus, he was a bigger dick then what he is now.

Also, Cole McGrath is'nt exactly likeable either.
That's fair. I should have mentioned that I'm not done with InFamous yet. You probably know better than me so I'll take your word for it, but so far I've found Cole a much more likable character than Alex. Of course that could all change with the next mission I suppose. I'm also playing "Light Side of the Force" first so it's entirely possible that I'm just a sap.

But that's also why I mentioned the presentation. I think the slick graphic novel inserts are making the story more interesting that it really has a right to be.

I want to point out that I did really enjoy Prototype. It's a lot of fun and an easy recommendation.

I was not aware these games were similar enough to be compared.

Either way, the only one I have played was Prototype, and it is pretty fun.
