For retail games, either the original MDK (which had to be toned down I believe in future releases) or Ikaruga.
Riven is just a lead on from other insanely difficult games like the truly evil 'Zork' series, like when you had to make the man open the trapdoor by drinking with him without getting drunk or shooting him! That made me bash my face on the keyboard for weeks! And it was only meant to be the 1st 5 mins!darthmath said:i did not think that there would be many people out there that would agree with me on this one, let alone many people who have even played in this generation. i have yet to encounter a world as complete and logically organized as the world of riven. it is truly the most immersive and complete virtual world ever created.Le_Lisra said:Riven.
IWBtG and those bullet hell games aren't hard. You just have to memorize patterns.A random person said:I Wanna Be The Guy, if that counts.
Or some crazy Japanese games, like several shooters that make Touhou look tame and some ASCII art platformers I saw.
And rom hacks of games. Some of the Super Mario World ones are just insane.
Tru dat. I can bareley get past the third level.BrotherhoodOfSteel said:Pac-Man. May sound stupid but I just cant get past the 8th level without losing all of my lives.
Agreed. Its the only game I havent been able to play through with sheer determination (the bonus thingie, where you have to play through all the maps without a break between, ofcourse).Lord Azrael said:Lol, Yahtzee's games!
IWTBTG is pretty much trial and error, you figure it out by dying and avoiding it the next time.Maraveno said:Because there's no limit to life's it actually turns out to be an easy game just like bioshockshophius said:Nah it's hard but can be beaten with persistance. Personally I can't get to the 2nd boss but loads of people have finished it.elitecrewer said:Apparently using the search function is hard /obviousness
I wanna be the guy is reportedly the hardest game ever. I think it is, to be honest.
