Which is your favorite video game weapon?

Weirdly, I just wrote a peice on my blog about how all videogame weapons are essentially the same, with minor aesthetic differences.

But, what the hell. The kinda grenade-thingy in Thief 2 that had a frog in it. Or maybe the gas arrow.

I vaguely remember on Half-life: Opposing forces that they had penguins with grenades strapped to them ... that was amusing.

And quite obviously any form of flamethrower ... from any game ... ever ...

For those who don't know, it's a hidden weapon in Fallout 3. Fires SIX mini-nukes simultaneously, in a shotgun spread. For when you absolutely, positively have to kill ever mother****er in the area, guaranteed. Accept no substitutes.

gotta say though, Biwwy's "Waser Wifle" is pretty damn satisfying too.

Really? I was a little dissapointed with it, ended up going back to my plasma rifle! Just didn't seem to do that much damage.

The Rail Driver: A weapon with an infrared scope that shoots depleted uranium slugs through anything. Its an instant-kill weapon that lets you snipe people through walls.

Try hiding from that.

No it's from Bioshock.

There was basically a hand like that in RotT. Also, I never played Bioshock, so that's probably why I didn't go there.

also on a less disgusting note the duel pistols in halo 2 were my favorite for the longest time til i found the fat man in fallout 3

Cannot really think of a specific one at the moment, but among the top ones would be: Clan ERPPCs from Mechwarrior (and the mechs too), the gun from Painkiller that shoots fenceposts at people, and any sniper, flamethrower, or silenced pistol, cause I like stealth (as my aim is lousy unless I take time to aim and because you don't need to aim a flamethrower)
