we could maybe go for a decent curry before "the duty" :)
at least he would be quite sympathetic.
Possibly try riding Binky?

Since the Death from Discworld is taken, my vote goes to Gregg.

Edit: From Conker's Bad Fur Day, if you didn't know.
Yeah, hell Greg seems like a pretty level headed guy,you know, for Death. Plus it may just be a shock if we could get extra lives too, like maybe human hearts or something.

Umm.... duh?

Death may as well be cute.
This. When I die, if I have my druthers, death will be in the form she took in Sandman and some of those other comics like Hellblazer.

I guess I'll go with Deadpool's personification of death in his comic book series. The basic jist of it is the grim reaper who is feminine in body structure but the head is a bare skull. If taken away by deaths angel, I'd hope it be an angel.

I want the old-fashioned Grim Reaper. Robes, big scythe, beckoning bony finger, the whole deal. If I'm going to die, I want a psychopomp with style.

Grim Reapers by way of Dead Like Me.

Then I would have my soul removed from my body by the Reapers just before death before getting escorted to the after life. I also have the chance to become a Reaper.

I'd say Botan. I think that would be the most upbeat one I could hope for, and I love the hair...

Failing that, Grimm.

I always wanted Death to have a deep soulful black voice.

I don't care which one it is, so long as I can gamble with him over weather he will take me away or let me go. Hooray for trying to cheat death!

Kelemvor from Forgotten Realms

I agree with his Dogma

Kelemvor is interested in having followers who recognize that death is but a part of life. It is not an end but a beginning, not a punishment but a necessity. There is no deceit in death, nothing concealed, nothing chaotic. Death is an orderly process.

The followers of Kelemvor are not out to spread death and destruction in the Realms. Rather, they seek to help others to die with dignity at their appointed time and no sooner. Just as they do not seek to rush death, they also speak out against those who seek to artificially prolong their lives beyond their natural limits, including such magical creations as liches.

The charge of Kelemvor to his novitiates is this: "Death is but part of life: fear it not, evade it not, and view it not as evil. To fear death delivers you into the hands of those who can bring death down upon you. Die with dignity, neither raging nor seeking to embrace undeath. Do honor to the dead, for their strivings in life brought Faerûn to where it is now, and to forget them is to forget also where we are now?and why."

The church of Kelemvor believes that seeking out those who are near death is their great duty, for it is the will of Kelemvor that no human (and if possible, no sentient being) die a natural death in all Faerûn without one of his priests at their side. Kelemvor assigns the essences of the dead their proper place in the ongoing cycle of existence, and it must be emphasized to all that he is the Great Guide, leading all folk into their next life. Death is not a final ending, but the next step in a wondrous, ongoing journey. Let no one die not knowing that Kelemvor awaits them and that he is not to be feared, for he believes in justice and wields mercy.
Death being orderly and not as a punishment? Telling people what's to come rather than leaving them in the dark? Sounds good to me, bro.
