I suppose so. But the collections are going for 30$ as well on PS2, and there a bunch of them..and they are mostly new releases(the collections i mean) so I doubt they will be released anytime soon for PS3 because of production costs.IamSofaKingRaw said:They bunch the games onto one disk and are sold at around 30 bucks (at least thats what I got the God of War Coleection for). I sold my Ps2 when I got my 360 so I can only play ps2 games if/when they are re-released.Durxom said:Wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy a PS2? =/
They are only about 60$ atm, and have most of the packs of games already listed here.
This. Hell, also include 1, 2, a translated version of the Japanese version of 3, and the US/EU version of 3 as well for an even better package.Alexandre LeSalle said:Ace Combat
4, 5, and Zero anyway...
With you on this, and then everyone who said Ratchet and Clank.chromewarriorXIII said:A Jak collection would be much appreciated. Maybe a Need For Speed Collection as well (Underground 1 & 2, Most Wanted, and Pro Street (even though it sucked)).
I agree completely. Timesplitters Future Perfect was the pinnacle of mankinds cultural achievements.Sam17 said:Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimesplitters!
The fact they haven't already gives me a splitting headache
I apologise for nothing
Oh, I'm very sorry. You weren't correctly labled as a Sony Fanboy, and I apologize if I am offending you by saying there's no way in hell that I'd ever buy a PS3. Sony lost my sale when the removed backwards compatibility, added a media format I don't support (and don't plan to any time soon), and cranked the price up unbelievably high.IamSofaKingRaw said:Time for an upgrade..
This. Although I never played Ico...I vaguely remember playing a demo but never bought it or even finished the demo, only the beginning of it. But yeah I'd love to see a Ratchet and Clank collection and SotC--I loved that game no matter its faults.Quiet Stranger said:A Ratchet and Clank collection maybe? That and Shadow of The Colossus and Ico
You could always buy a used launch console on Ebay.Hiroshi Mishima said:Oh, I'm very sorry. I'm not trying to cause a flame war, but if I seriously had the kind of money to spend on buying another console, I'd already OWN the games I mentioned getting collections of. The Jak, Rachet, and new Spyro games were all very fun and interesting. But I had to usually rent them because the economy really did a number on me the last few years and I still haven't fully recovered. I am, however, a longtime gamer and enjoy games. Since some of these were good games amongst many of the bad PS2 games, having a relatively cheap collection of them - ala the Hitman trilogy which was cheap and had 3 discs) or the GTA games (which did similar on both the PS1 and PS2) - would be a very good idea. It'd be quick easy money since they don't have to make it PS3 functional, and everyone who already has a PS2 (or access to a really good computer) can readily buy and play them.
Otherwise, porting popular games to a console that refused to be backwards compatible only seems like an attempt to get more people to buy said console. As I said, I'm not TRYING to cause a flame war, I'm simply defending my statements about wanting them on the PS2, which is something I do own and mostly enjoy. Many of those games, especially Ico and the early games in the various series mentioned, which tend to go for a rather unfairly high price these days. Well, Ico makes sense since it's so damned hard to find.
You can still buy pretty much any PS2 game online for really good prices (usually $10-20). In fact, Metal Gear Solid 1-3 can be bought as a single $30 collection, which can be found pretty much anywhere that sells games. You can also find similar collections for certain other series such as Devil May Cry, Hitman, and Grand Theft Auto.IamSofaKingRaw said:Its for those of us (like moi) that didn't have the chance to play those games and can conviently get 2-3 games on one disk for a cheap price (GoW collection was 30 bucks for me).L1250 said:Fix that. I personally would like to see a collection for FF 10 and 12 as well as a collection of Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 (haven't played them but MGS4 was/is amazing).
What about you?
OT: I really don't care what gets re-released on PS3. I still regularly play PS2 games and the only difference would be a slight graphical upgrade, which seems unnecessary to me; most PS2 graphics from games that are still remembered range fromto

I played the first Rachet and Clank and I would love if the other 2(3?) for the ps2 were bundled together rendered in HD.
yes! this needs to be done, I would buy Vol.1-4(never got 2-4) and G.U. vol.1-3 (which I own these ones, already.) in HD.Julianking93 said:.Hack
