Battlefield 3 because as a fan of first person shooters, Battlefield 3 looks F*CKING AWESOME.

Also Mass Effect 3 because Mass Effect is my favorite game series.

Skyrim all the way. ME3 is up there, but with what they did to DA2 I'm hesitant about it. I don't think they'd ruin a game that is that big, but with EA behind the wheel you never know for sure.

Minecraft has, for all intents and purposes, already been out for a year, so that doesn't count. And I'm definitely looking forward to Battlefield 3, but I've been geeking out over Skyrim since it was announced, so that one takes the win for me.

Batman Arkham City (It looks awesome)
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine (I want to be invincible, also Chain Sword.)
Saints Row the Third (I want to be in a more fun and more insane/archaic sandbox)
I can't see anything else in the near future. One problem is I'm not 18 till November so I will have to wait till then to gt the second two.

Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. That's one of the reasons why I voted for Bethesda all the way in March Mayhem (which lost to Minecraft, not even going to call the company's name because Minecraft is their only game). Not holding a grudge, but I feel that Skyrim will be the best game of 2011 - 2012 hands down, least for me.
Minecraft B-)
No! No Minecraft! Bethesda shall dominate that addictive clever sandbox game! Just look at the details of this picture from the game itself! You can't tell me that's not epic win now!

<spoiler=Proof>

(Don't take me to seriously, I am just messing. However, if you REALLY wanted me to try and convince you, just watch this video and you'll actually see why this game is going to be the top notch of 2011 - 2012)

EDIT: Actually my Youtube isn't working.. just check out these videos based on Google. Catherine for the 360 cause it's by Atlus and it's nice to not see Persona even though I love that series!
No wait, Batman Arkham City because BATMAN!
No wait, Bioshock Infinite cause it's hella pretty! Also, it's Bioshock.
No wait, The Last Guardian because it's Team ICO!

Damn I'm not gonna have any at all this year...

There are some games I'm looking forward to, like Arkham City, Bioshock or Uncharted 3. But THE game I'm really excited for is Dark Souls. The reason? I'm already playing the shit out of Demon's Souls. Got it in February and despite having beaten it, I just can't stop playing it. For me, it's one of the best games of the last decade and I'm so pumped for it's successor.

Is Dark Souls the sequel? From what Yahtzee said, I don't think I'll be going near that franchise ~_~'

Not to mention the two extra pairs of arms and eyes you'd need.

Heart of the Swarm - I loved Starcraft 2's campaign and multiplayer, and I love playing the Zerg. I just hope there's at least one mission near the end of the game where I'll have the time/resources available to mass an army of fully evolved/upgraded Brood Lords and watch with sadistic glee as they send out swarms of Broodlings to tear apart a sprawling enemy stronghold like a starving man with a big juicy steak. Oh, and some Lurkers would be nice, too.

It is the sequel. And Yahtzee doesn't like RPGs that much in addition to not having time to try to beat the same level over and over again. He complains about individual aspects of the game while not mentioning that all those aspects serve the same purpose: to infuse into the player the feeling of hopelessnes and despair by putting seemingly unconquerable hurdles in his way. The funny thing is, if you play the game online, an odd feeling of some kind of quiet solidarity with those ghostly other players occurs. It's all of you against Demon's Souls. This is simply unique in gaming. Although you don't ever talk to someone, let alone know each other, this blue guy helping you out becomes your friend for as long as it lasts.
Plus, there's an incredibly complex RPG under it's rough shell, supported by one of the best combat systems you'll ever play.

It's certainly no game for everyone, but from all the people I know (not only RL-Friends but also people from other forums and such) everyone who played the game all the way through to the end just loves it and none of them have played the game just once. Hell, I know people with 300+ hours in this game, they're on their 15th oder 16th playthrough with the same character.

If you ask me, Yahtzee is a great critic and I usually agree with his statements. He's got a good eye for flaws in game design and is a good enough writer to point them out. But he just didn't get this game. This is no shame on him, because the game really starts after your first playthrough, when you start to recognize all the little details in character building and your influence on the game world.

Sorry for fanboy-jacking this thread, I'm gonna bug out now ;)
