Hey, Guys. Right now, I'm trying to decide between two games: Splinter Cell: Conviction and SINGULARITY. Can I get an oppinion on both from some people who have played both?
I want a unique game, one that seems different from others I've played, I heard SINGULARITY is a lot like Bioshock in a good way, and I loved Bioshock. I want one with a good story, likeable characters, and just fun to play. I've only played the original Splinter Cell, though I'm getting Chaos Theory, and I think it's pretty hard sometimes. However, I like stealth, and if Conviction has enough of that but with some fun gameplay combined, that's good.
One more thing, though: Do you get a knife in SC:C?
So what do you think I shoulld get, Escapists?

Splinter Cell: Conviction, it may be a bit too easy but it's better then Singularity. That game got boring about half way through.

I've played neither, but if I were to pick between those two, I'd get Splinter Cell based on what I've heard about both games. Singularity= BioSchock & Half-life, but not as good, and Splinter Cell is Splinter Cell.

Splinter Cell: Conviction seemed like a dumbing-down of a great stealth franchise, but it was a step up from Double Agent in many ways, imho. In that respect, I'd recommend it, if only because it was genuinely enjoyable in some parts and brought back fond memories of Chaos Theory in others. The Co-op / deniable ops are also pretty fun if you have a friend with the game. Sam Fisher used to be an enigma, and Conviction takes one step further to make him a Jack Bauer clone. Oh well, I guess enough people weren't screaming "WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?!"

I can't say I've played Singularity, but from what I've heard, I didn't miss much.

Are you sure you want either of those games? I haven't heard particularly good news about either of them, unless the problem is you're out of other games to play.

Thanks everybody! I'm probably going to end up with Splinter Cell: Conviction. I mainly liked the idea of turning russians into dust, but other than that SINGULARITY looked kinda generic. Plus, I do really like the character Sam Fisher, and Michael Ironside does a good job of voicing him. All I care is if it has some stealth moments that seem amusing, generally fun gameplay, and good story.
I might get SINGULARITY when I can find it for about $20 at Vintage Stock, CD Tradepost, or Gamestop.
