Well, I have now joined the legions of Xbox 360 owners who have had to send their console away for servicing - poor timing, considering my holidays have just started and I was hoping to spend this time enjoying my neglected video games. But, rather than get upset about this, I've elected to look upon it as a learning experience, so I thought I'd come to you, my fellow Escapists, to find out about your coping strategies for when you're stranded without a console. Has this ever happened to you?
At the moment, I can really see three options - either I, a) search the darkest recess of my house to try to find my old PlayStation 2 and corresponding game collection (which seems to have gone missing, which may mean it's hidden in the attic or garage somewhere oO), b) get out the old PC games that my Dad normally hogs, and download some new entertainment from Steam and online MMO sites, or c) rent a new Xbox 360 for the intermediary period and play the new games I had intended to play anyway. What do you reckon? Any advice?
Eff why eye, this isn't really a serious topic. Just a little catharsis. And, I suppose, an opportunity for gamers to share stories of massive console/computer breakdowns. =)
