So I was reading up on the DC Universe, and it turns out they have an entire earth were the superheroes genders are swapped and that got me thinking....

Why don't they have a universe where everyone's race would be swapped? So you'd have Black Batman, Black Superman, Asian Green Lantern... and most importantly, WHITE LUKE CAGE! I mean, why not?

because it would remind me of the Blaxploitation era

That would be the point really... I just think a white luke cage would be funny, but not racists because we as white people would give Black people Black Batman. He'll every superhero should just have 4 issues come out, each with hero in a different ethnicity. Everythings the same, just in one world Batman is black. In another he's asian. you get the idea.

....actually heres a thought, how do you do Black Joker? Do you give him the same skin deseas as Micheal Jackson or just make it reverse-black face?

I just think the concept of superheros swapping races is funny.

sorry but no. changing some heros skin colour to justify stereotypical behavor would make marvel and dc be on the same level as early disney.

No no... if Luke Cage was white he'd still act like a blaxpoitation superhero, just ya know... white.

Just the same, Black Batman would still be Batman. I mean maybe he'd beat up Klan members more often, but he'd still be Batman.

And superman would be asian, and know kung fu. Not because he's asian, just because he likes Kung Fu in this universe.

Well, Luke Cage is Marvel and the rest of the ones you listed are DC. So such a universe could not exist.

All the more reason. We have Black Nick Fury now, the time is right for White Luke Cage! The world is ready!

Only the Ultimate Universe's Nick Fury is black. Normal Marvel 616 is the old fashioned white Nick Fury still.

That, my friend is where you are wrong...with The Avengers coming out, Marvel saw making Nick Fury black as a good way to make more cash....and so I present you with 616, Marcus Johnson, aka black Nick Fury, aka Nick Fury Jr., aka guy who just happened to get his eye removed a couple issues after his reveal, aka kid that Nick Fury hasn't talked about for 35 years but is really his son, aka guy who's name really is Nick Fury after his father but was changed to Marcus Johnson to "protect his identity", aka Marvel done fucked up this time...

White Luke Cage doesn't work because "blackness" is his most defining characteristic. If you take that away, the guy's basically got nothing.

I'm not saying that's good, but that's how it is.

Now, can we take away his blackness for a couple issues to see how he deals with it? sure? It's probably already been done.

Spiderman 2099 was part Hispanic, atleast I think he was with a name like Miguel O'Hara.

Spider-Man 2099 was half-hispanic, half-Irish. Current Ultimate Spider-Man is half-Latino, half-African-American. Batman has Batman Incorporated which means there are all sorts of Batmans of various racial identities. Green Lantern already has racial/gender diversity. Superman has been alternately portrayed by various races/genders. X-Men cast of ever changing Darwin's Chex Mix rejects covers pretty much every single societal color, gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality, and religion out there.

You want a field that could use more diversity? Villains. They need better motivations. Batman has some well written villains, but pretty much everywhere else is a White Male Dominate The World fest.

....Except Luke Cage is from Marvel, not DC, making the argument a tad bit lackluster, but basically its because there isn't a polar opposite in race like there is in gender. It would also fuck up a lot of characters (See the Black Panther).

Also, wanting a White Luke Cage seems really stupid in my opinion. The character is famous because he was the first black superhero to have success in his own comic. In a sense, several people consider him to be the character who broke the color barrier of Marvel Comics. The only reason why they changed Nick Fury's skin color is largely because Marvel believed they could get away with it, its not the same situation with Cage.
