Ok i doubt there will be many responses but xbox live braid owners. Did any of you understand the story i can't for the life of me wrap my head around such a metaphorical story. Granted the text didn't help and i could understand it for the first 2 levels and the end game sequence made sense but the last couple of books and the middle ones just raped my high understanding. I felt a pang of sudden pain when i tried to fit

"i think we just witnessed the birth of the world"
then some one said
"yes now were all basterds."

into what i've been playing about the dude saving the princess

Its a quote of what people said when the atomic bomb was tested. It is a bit hard to comprehend if you look at it like a story. When I read it I read it just as a sequence of events and observations of someone who was frantically searching for something. Just try to be broader and general when you read it and not as specific.

It's about Nukes, Tim was a SCIENTIST, he worked ont the Manhattan Project. That's why the starting screen is a city on fire.

Double Ninja'd!
EDIT: Triple Ninja'd!

Gamesradar has an interesting article that explains the endings of a few confusing games, Braid being one of them.

http://www.gamesradar.com/xbox360/f/confusing-game-endings-explained/a-20090217174060058/g-20080220154635975030

Basically it is about the nuclear bomb, or something like that.

Wow...I really didn't get the nuclear bomb bit. In fact, I didn't get the story in general. I loved the gameplay, it's in my top ten games infact, but maybe I'm just not clever enough to get it. Damn it, I want to play it again now.

Then what about the end scene where it looks like the princess and him are trying to save each other but reverse it and they're trying to kill each other and she jumps into the arms of someone else
