So the blindness is pretty much inevitable? That's a damn shame, friend.

Also, I know it's a debilitating disorder and all, but in terms of a movie/book character, the idea of a Night Ops uber-sniper in the army who has no pigment and can only do night missions but is really, REALLY good is just plain awesome.

I mean, sure, you could probably "hollywood-ify" the condition and just make him really, really pale and have...I dunno...something cool-looking like completley white eyes.

Could make for a real badass character that everyone remembers
that would be epic, I'm now selling the rights. how much do you think I could get for a story like that? I could do a sequel with me as a blind old man, still kicking ass, at night. thanks

Worst I got is red colorblindness. For those who don't know, I can't distinguish between different colors of red.

Oh, and everyone in my family is prone to diabetes, but I don't have it.
So, you can see red, but it all looks the same shade? I was just asking because of your avatar...

OT: I don't have any genetic disorders.

I've got Pectus excavatum... Not really a big deal, and it's not a bad case, but I don't see it vary often so I guess my dented chest is at least a tiny bit rare. I see that most of the people here are pretty much just posting double-jointedness and mental disorders... Weird.
I have the same thing, it runs in pretty much all of the males on my father's side -- I was the first, and am still the only, female to be born with it. It's not too bad, though...gives me awesome cleavage. :)

Only other things I have are short-sightedness and what isn't really a disorder, I'm just double-jointed in my elbows. I can hold my arms out, palms down, straight from my body and fit them together from the elbow to the wrist. If I try to straighten my arms, they splay out to the sides, kinda gangly like...ah well, could be worse.

Hemophilia A 11%. This is a rather mild case, so no, I won't bleed to death if I nick myself shaving or anything like that. I only need protein replacement therapy when I have surgery or something along those lines.

I have some sort of furry substance upon the top of my head and between my ass cheeks, and it keeps growing...

I've been told I have Marfan Syndrome, but I don't believe it.

Hereditary Angioedema.
Basically, parts of you swell up. Anything from your hands to your face.
You can also get it in your intestines, which is where I always get it because I'm just that lucky. I'll leave out the specifics, but basically it causes lots of cramps, lots of pain and then some vomiting to top it off.
Nice.

Only happens once every couple of months though, even less recently.
Probably jinxed it now. Oops.

unless you're really wiry with E.T. fingers, probably not. people with marfans are usually taller. do you have some serious joint pain?

MY family has a blood discrasia that starts as anemia when the girl is in her teens and by the time she is in her 40's she also develops thrombocytopenia>

I am also very sensitive. I wear super dark sunglasses that are at times not dark enough. I can't tolerate loud noises, some scents, and certain textures. Plus don't take me out in the sun unless you want be burnt to a crisp (damned redhead paleskin)

Chuvash Polycythemia, or Polycythemia Vera. I can't remember which, the two diseases are fairly similar. Either way, it's genetic. Basically, my body produces more blood than it should. (It constantly looks like I'm blood-doping, which I find hilarious.)

Edit: I feel I should add: Treatment is probably the simplest I've ever heard. I have to get blood drawn every now and again. (No more than once a year at the moment.) It's not terribly severe.
