Who else misses the old school South Park?

I'm not a fan of the newer episodes. One of the reasons for me is that it seems like they're trying harder and harder for their shock value (such as the insane amount of gore & detail in said gore). Me, I like the more crappy animation style and the simpler, silly stories they once did. I mean, they're in fourth grade! They're should deal more with fourth grader things, such as how they don't want to spend their free time on a crappy baseball team, not how the Home Shopping Network is ripping off senior citizens of their Social Security checks.

I think the last time I enjoyed some new South Park was season eight or so (that's when they had Good Times with Weapons, right?). That's just me though.

Also, am I the only one that wishes that the small mountain town of South Park would have Officer Barbrady back instead of having the srs bsnis detectives & police precinct?

I read an interview (I think with Game Informer) with Trey and Matt a while ago, and they said that they hate the first couple seasons because it's about nothing.
Just saying.

They often say that the first couple of seasons were shit because they didn't know how to write. One of the best things about those two is that they're always trying to improve.

Yea...
South Park is just fine where it is. Sure the show has changed overtime, but it still is really good. Granted there are some misses here and there but overall I still find it great.
