Who else puked at Burnout: Most Hated?

By the way, OP, EA /was/ really cool once. But that was back in the 80's with a little bit of holdover into the early 90's. They've been evil for a long time.

Ah, I didn't start playing EA games till I was about 7, in 2001, so I grew up in the "evil" era.

Why are they remaking a game that's not even 10 years old?

A whole bunch of companies since a couple years ago has seen that remaking a previous game seems to wring in a lot of cash from nostalgic fans. This isn't the first time EA's done something like this.

Also the post you linked just sounds like the guy is bitching because it isn't exactly like the original Need For Speed most wanted.

It shows traits of being somewhat related to the original. It should at least feel like the same kind of game, even if has different characters, story etc.

Protip: If there was a game you liked and there's another game you don't like, play the one you like.

Fuck, it isn't difficult. Quit bitching and play the game you like, let us enjoy the other games.

KTHX for your opinion, but I'm just sharing mine. I'm sharing my rambling so hopefully people will read it and agree or provide some kind of constructive argument on why I'm wrong, which I've heard none since the trailers were released. Why don't you quit entering topics like you own the place and telling people to shut up? That'd be grand.

Am I the only one who wants the Underground style customization to come back here? Maybe it's me, but I love being able to really personalize the shit out of my cars and make them truly unique.

Maybe it's me, but I loved taking my modded out Lambo and outrunning police. Or hopping into an RX-7 and tearing ass around the pavement while hitting speedbreakers and dodging undercover cops, spike strips, Rhino units, and spike strips while my candy paints and BBS wheels were scraping on everything while burning through NOS like alcoholics burn through Johnny Walker.

Other than that, I might consider it. Sure, it has Burnout elements in there, but considering that EA didn't really have much else to work with, this'll do.

Awful article. Really ranty about stuff he can't really know yet. Complaining about how the controls feel when you're looking at a trailer for a game which isn't even finished yet is a complete mugs game.

And some of his points were pretty bad too, Most Wanted did pull out to cinematic slow mo angles when you played it. (they were often a little bad too, you'd go through a petrol stations and it would show you car moving through it pretty weirdly (because the Ai takes control of the driving) and kinda miss the police cars blowing up)

Also equated Britain with England. Did not endear him to me.

I just feel like maybe we should play the game before actually ranting on how bad the gameplay sucks? Or just let them finish making the game

I did my homework and both compared it with the gameplay trailers and my own playthrough of Burnout: Hot Pursuit. Looked exactly the same to me. Call me weird or whatever, but I know how the driving controls will feel from just looking at a trailer.

Again, K. It doesn't even matter at this point, because they won't fix it however I rant. NFS died long ago, and now they're trying to resurrect Burnout as NFS. Do not want.

No, You're really not! In Underground 2 and Carbon I would have spent more time making Cars than actually racing them lol.

I mean, before Black Box turned it into a racing sim...

Most wanted (The TRUE Most Wanted, not the crappy re-release) was the best NFS by far; and I HATE what Criterion has done to the NFS franchise...
I wasn't one for the "racing sim" side of NFS, but the cop chases were some of the best fun I had on the PS2...
If I wanted to play Burnout, I'd pick up Burnout Paradise... if I wanted a need for speed game, I'd play Most Wanted...

Not some stupid fucking hybrid shit-ass title that tries too hard to be both...
Fuck off Criterion, if you want to make Burnout, call it Burnout... NOT NFS...

I think the worst part about the OP is: This isn't a reputable news site reporting an article. This is the OP just linking to a rant he wrote himself on a community dedicated to Lego Rock Raiders. Linking to and citing yourself on a small community blog isn't the best source material I'd say.

I don't want to be too harsh, I think it's fine to pimp your blog, there are good blogs out there that would love some attention, but I agree that he should have been more straight up about it, 'this is what I've been thinking about Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2) what do you think?'

It's still maybe a little not in line with forum behaviour, perhaps a summary would have been appropriate so we don't have to read the blog, but it would have been better. To be honest, if I'd realised sooner that he was the creator and it wasn't a big news site or anything (I didn't really look around) I would have probably been kinder with my words and paid the site a little more attention even.

The Run was suprisingly easy for me. Except for the warehouse scene. I don't understand why Black Box had to throw in weapons, helicopters and extremely difficult to dodge SUVs.

Title should have been self explanatory on my opinion, the blog link was just for expansion. At the time I cbf to copy and paste it all, but I probably should have. Nothing about trying to get the blog or the site more views.

RRU is an interesting place, but it's probably in your best interests to stay clear unless you know something about 10 year old LEGO games.

The NFS series is fucked. I wrote up a bit post about it on my blog after playing The Run.

Shift 2 was slightly better than the first one, but overall that series is dead to me. Luckily I still have Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, and Carbon

I actually really like the new NFS games, partly because the new burnout type stuff added actually does add more of a tense feeling to all the action. Yeah, the handling kind of sucks but overall this is some of the most fun I've ever had with the series. Hot Pursuit 2010 and Most Wanted 2012. It's a ton of fun for me, at least.

People complain that modern warfare games are too similar to each other, then turn around and make complaints like this. I don't get it.
