Nah. I hate both. Stupid camera.

Same. I can't really get into games with that crappy camera.

The only ones I tolerate were Gears of War and DarkSector.

I loved Dead Space and didn't play any of the RE games.

I didn't play RE4 very much.. but I heard that Dead Space was "JUST LIKE RE4 - EXCEPT IN SPACE!!".. so I tried it, loved it, played it through twice..

then RE5 comes along, and people's biggest complaint (well, 2nd biggest complaint), is that it's "JUST LIKE RE4 - EXCEPT IN AFRICA!!".. the reference went from being a blessing to a curse in about 7 months..

Compared to Dead Space, I found RE5, clunky, uninspired, and excessively difficult, mainly because of the awkward clunky controls..

I played Gears, and I liked that, but I don't know if RE5 would work for me.... I haven't heard many positive comments about it.

I haven't done anything beyond play the RE5 demo. What you're saying is that EA is better at making RE games than Capcom is? In hindsight, it seems that almost anyone could make better RE games than Capcom for the simple reason of the idea bucket being drained, but I digress.

If you're a gears fan, I don't suggest RE to you.. you have to be born of the survival horror genre to understand the gameplay..

It just seems to be a survival horror game that wants to be a shooter, but it doesn't give you any real strong ability to do that..

I enjoyed Gears and all, but personally I think first person will always be predominant as far as survival horror goes, and the same for shooters, and any combination or attempted combination of the two.

I loved RE4. Deadspace was fun.

I have zero intention to run through RE5.

Dead Space was a magnificent game, graphics, gameplay and atmosphere were al perfectly tuned and expertly crafted. Everything in it worked so well and it just felt damn good to play too. A masterpiece if you ask me.

Resi 5 has big flaws but is still a good fun shooter, especially with a mate. Pity the final acts turn into a lame sub-Gears cover shoot out borefest. And whats with the Cheapers?? Stupid insects.
