Who introduced you to gaming?

I think it was my cousin.
He got a Sega Megadrive for Christmas one year. When I went over to his house the following day we spent the whole day trying to defear Dr. Robotnik at the end of Green Hill Zone. We thought it was the end of the game. Damn, we were wrong.

Well I was playing Age of Empires 2 before anyone said try this.

My brother really brought it to a whole other level when he got an xbox. Now I can't stop.

I think it was my dad. I don't really remember. I've been gaming in some capacity for as long as I can remember. I was, apparently, playing computer games as soon as I figured out what a mouse did.

My first console experience was at daycare. We had a SNES with Donkey Kong Country. We got really quite good at the first world because every night, the workers would delete our data and we had to start over the next day.

My first handheld was a Gameboy Lite (I think that's what they were called) my friend at daycare had. She only had Speedy Gonzales.

From there, I really started buying systems and playing on consoles and stuff. But I don't even remember my first game. I was like...three.

My Parents bought me an Atari 2600 with Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Asteroids, and Night Driver.

A friend of my moms. He and his two kids were really big into that stuff, and I would watch them play horror games mostly. Thats where I got interested and asked my mom for a Gameboy Advance because "everyone else had one." Then got a Gamecube a few years later.

My dad. When I was about 3 my dad asked me whether I wanted "Super Mario" or "Sonic". I responded with Mario. Later that evening when he came back from work he came back with a SNES and the Super Mario games. Me and my dad had many a wonderful time with the Nintendo, and then we later expanded our little console collection by picking up the original Playstation. To date, we have at least one console from each generation. The most commonly used consoles being the Playstation 2 and the Playstation 3. So yeah, my dad is responsible for bringing gaming into mine and my little brother's lives

I got into it when I found a gamegear in my house, I then asked for a gameboy.I got introduced into console gaming when I went to my aunt's house. They were playing on the PS1, I believe I played Crash Bandicoot or a South Park game.

They also introduced me to the gameboy.

The week the NES came out my big sister got suspended from school. Inexplicably my dad bought her a NES because she was bored during the week but it quickly became my present. I can remember getting Duck Hunt and Gumshoe the following week with the zapper... ah, fond memories of sitting right up to the tv screen and firing madly (I would have only been about 5 or 6 at the time!)

My dad got me an N64 w/ mario 64 for Christmas when I was 4. He played it for awhile but lost interest a few months after we bought OoT.

I obvious did NOT lose interest. ... EVER.

I also suspect my dad regrets buying that beloved machine.

I was introduced to gaming very early in life. So early that I can't remember not knowing about gaming.

My dad on Doom I believe then on Simpsons doom which was pretty awesome.

No one. There was an ancient computer that played primitive games so I played them in spite of being far to young to actually be any good at them. I did not really become a gamer until the NES however and even then it was years (or maybe it was just months) before there was a game I actually wanted to play on the thing. Other people have contributed to my being a gamer though these people generally arrived long after the addiction had taken hold.

Well, PC gaming I introduced myself to seriously with a game called G-Nome. With Consoles, my dad had Zelda for the NES, the the SNES. And I've been a gamer ever since

Ironically my sister. I said ironically because I'm a hard core gamer and .. well she's not. Actually she's not playing game at all.

I suppose it was my friend Thomas. He had a Commodore 64 and we spent our youth playing Dizzy games, Monkey Island games, and playing lots of click adventure games.

He then got an Amiga 1200. That was a good day. ^_^

I miss Dizzy thought. Adventure-solving-jumping-eggs are the best type of eggs.

My dad and uncle ... I used to watch them play Diablo 2 and Heroes of Might and Magic 3 for hours

My dad, I have memories of playing Worms with him when I was about three or four.

My first games were on the NES my parents bought. We only had a few and it didn't occur to me that there were others to buy.

What I consider my actual intro to gaming was around first grade, when a friend of mine got Warcraft 2. I could only get a few missions in without cheating, but I still had fun. Come to think of it, I still can't finish Beyond the Dark Portal...

My brother. He bartered with his friends to acquire two gameboys and two copies of Pokemon from his friends using his prized collection of Pokemon cards. Unfortunately those gameboys were confiscated and have never been seen since. But I still found a way to game. Anyway, that gameboy is my gaming root.
