Jesus was born in the summer if the bible is to be believed. Astronomers found other mentions of that star mentioned in the bible and it was in the summer. December 25th was chosen to overshadow the pagan celebration of the winter solstice.

Which is why I purposely worded it so it didn't sound like I was declaring that he was born then.
