The Master from Doctor Who. The guy becomes Prime Minister for the lulz and actually plays a soundtrack out loud to accompany his own villainy. Not nearly the most evil, but the most fun.

The only fictional character who's ever actually made me feel like he really deserved to die just because he was so evil (as opposed to because that's how the story should go) was Yawgmoth from the Magic: The Gathering universe, so I'm going to have to go with him.

The Joker is definitly the best villain. Even though thats pretty Cliche'd to say.

An honorable mention goes to Venom though

Here's a picture to show just how evil Barnes, from 'Platoon', can be. In spoiler tags due to possibly disturbing content.

Someone else already replied with Kefka, I loved Kefka, probably my favorite super villain. Villains in general though, I love Ozymandias from The Watchmen. Misguided, egotistical evil is awesome when it gets that bad.

Alan Rickman, guy doesn't act they just put him in a costume and film him during his day to day routine.

Who is the greatest villain of all time in any media. Personally I think The Joker from The Dark Night is the best. He's just so dark and deranged. To me he is the best version of the character
No,
As awesome and Heath Ledger was as the joker, Mark Hamill will forever be the best Joker
Thank you finally someone else who has seen the light, I felt that Ledger was more of a mafia boss style joker, when Mark Hamill was a complete sociopath

Dr. Facilier and the Joker both have a style about them that makes villiany classy. You almost want to root for them. Still, I'm going to have to say Atroticus.

His rage is intense, justified, and terrifying as fuck!

A lot of classic villains, but none can compare to the awesome of:

OK, they probably can, but a lot of the other ones were already said. Plus, he's my favorite game villain and without him Mass Effect wouldn't have been as awesome as it was.

God.

I'm not trying to incite a riot here, I'm just answering based on what I read in the Old Testament and several arguments one of my professors put forward.

Well thats simple. That would be me. My villainy goes so deep and is so complete you have no idea who I am, though you have seen all the evil things I have done. Good luck trying to figure out where I strike next.

I would give nods to others like Mark Hamills Joker, Kefka from FF3, Venom.

However you have to give the nod to some classic villians such as Moriarty from Sherlock holmes, which was a fairly ingenious guy.

Hell, Ill even through in Shockwave from Transformers.

As you can tell, I perfer villians who have actually done what they set out to do at some point or another.

God wasn't evil, he just didn't know how to direct his anger properly. Besides, he's really calmed down since he had that kid of his :)

I could argue that but I fear admin wrath and people looking at me as an unintentional troll.
