Who is your favorite Pokemon?

I have a serious soft spot for all of the 'musketeer' legendaries, Cobalion especially. But overall, it'd probably have to be Wigglytuff.

After playing PMD I just fell in love with Guildmaster Wigglytuff. What can I say, I love me a secretly-competent-but-seems-like-a-hot-mess character any day of the week.

Gen 1: Cubone, my original "bro". It just resonated with me a lot as a kid. Might have something to do with all the depression and loneliness that plagued my younger days. Bah.
Gen 2: Stantler. Another victim of the bland Pokemon designs of gen 2, but I have a big soft spot for deer, and there's a lack of love for the little guy compared to the others. Umbreon is such a common choice, anyways.
Gen 3: Milotic. Majestic as fuck, a great SpD tank, and so satisfying if not extremely frustrating to obtain legitimately. Absol is pretty great too, though. So is Aggron. And Tropius. Damn, what a quality gen this was.
Gen 4: cutie patootie anti-matter dragon bby

Gen 5: Sawsbuck, again because it's a deer and the seasonal form changes are just gorgeous. Despite it being outclassed by literally every other grass type in nearly every way, I still try to keep one on my main competitive team anyway ;_;
Gen 6: The Forest God from Princess Mononoke Xerneas

Gen 1: Hard to pick. Mewtwo is badass, Arcanine is the best doggy ever, Ninetales is pure beauty, Eevee and Jolteon are killer-dorable, Beedrill is positively insane, Gyarados and Alakazam wreck shit, Pikachu... shut up I like Pikachu, and Missingn*&@$*&@$(*&!. But, the one that I would call my "favorite" is Articuno. The Ice bird exemplifies grace and beauty, and has an Ice Beam that destroys entire Elite Fours.

Gen 2: Umbreon. Sure, it's not all that great competitively, but this was the tankiest little sucker I ever had, plus could kill with Perish Song and Mean Look. Gen 2 has most of my all-time favorite pokemon as well. Lanturn is an oddball but plays solid support, Scizor, Heracross, and Tyranitar just wreck more shit, though T-tar wasn't that great before the physical/special split (dark was special only). Espeon is another killer-dorable Eeveelusion. Houndoom is pure badass, and the only special-oriented Dark type at the time. Sneasel was exactly what one might expect a Dark/Ice type to be, and got radically better with the special split, letting him finally use his physical attacking stats.

Gen 3: Blaziken, not close. Yes, I liked Blaziken "before it was cool". Powerful attacking stats and Bulk Up standard, letting me one-shot the Elite Four dragon trainer's Salamence with Double Kick. Honorable mentions go to Absol, Gardevior, Tropius, Sharpedo, Metagross, and Groudon.

Gen 4: Palkia. Palkia's a pretty, badass, legendary Godzilla-thing, enough said. Pachirisu gets honorable mention for being just so damn cute... and the only gen 4 pokemon I can think off off-hand, which says a lot. *looks it up* Aha, I remember now! Honorable mentions: Empoleon, Staraptor, Lucario, Gabite (I don't know, I like Gabite more than Garchomp), Yanmega, and Electivire.

Gen 5: Mienshao. Shut up, it's pretty. Plus it's a badass Fighting type that can abuse the crap out of Aura Sphere and Hi Jump Kick. Honorable Mentions go to: Golurk, Hydreigon, Sigilyph, and Joltik and Deerling, who are damned adorable.

Gen 6: Talonflame. You guys... just get a Talonflame. Seriously. You won't regret it. One must experience how badass this thing is. Who would have thought the Gen 6 version of Pidgey would evolve into a meta-defining staple? Honorable Mentions go to: Chesnaught, Aegislash, Clauncher/Clawitzer, Goodra. I'm not counting Megas as separate pokemon, though if I did, MegaBlastoise and MegaMawhile get honorable mentions too.

Sure, it's not a terribly useful Pokemon, but he's one of the coolest in terms of design that I've seen. He looks like what you'd get if you crossed an insect with a Power Ranger. Even though his stats are bad, I actually managed to raise one with a decent trickster style move set in Pokemon Y. It wouldn't have held up at all in online play, but it worked in singleplayer, and I still have a place in my heart for the little guy. Seriously, if Gamefreak gives him a Mega evolution, I'm going to squeal at a higher octave than any man should reasonably be able to.

Cubone

Cubone has always had a special place in my heart, I don't reallyknow but I just think he's awesome and with his definition as the "Lonely Pokémon" just makes me wanna give him some ray of hope in life and that he's not alone.

Raichu

Ever since I saw the episode when Ash took on Lt. Surge I've always loved Raichu. As awesome as Pikachu is there's just something about Raichu that I just prefer, probably because he's just that much more of a badass!

Blastoise

When I first started playing Pokémon I chose Squirtle and when he finally became Blastoise it was awesome! Powerful and just very coolz looking with those 2 cannons from his shell Blastoise looks like he can handle anything!

Dragonite

When it comes to dragon types I've always preferred Dragonite. He was a pain to get in the original games but well worth the effort!

Gengar

With that insane smile who wouldn't like Gengar? I remember one time when I was battling a friend of mine back on the original games, we had 4 lv100's and 2 others between lv70-75 (this was because at the time I only had 4 lv100's) and I had knocked out one of his lv100's but he had taken out all of my others, my last remaining Pokémon wasmy lv75 Gengar. He took out my friend's lv100 Mewtwo with the Hypnosis/Dream Eater combination and then did the same to all of my friend's other team memebers along with using Nightshade and Confuse Ray. Since then Gengar has had a special place in my heart and is still a badass Pokémon to use.

Ever since I fought Steven on Rubyand Sapphire I always wanted to get a Megagross and after much work...holy hell...he was one powerful beast!

I've played each generation of the games but it would be too long a post to show all of my favourites but I'd say these are probably my absolute favourites.

Gen 1. Charizard. My starter the first time I played Red version was Charmander and I haven't regretted it at all. When I heard that you could pick a Kanto starter in X/Y, I knew exactly who it was going to be. Now Iroh (and his Y mega form) is one of my strongest pokemon

Gen 2. Houndoom. I thought this was one of the coolest looking pokemon of that generation. Even though you couldn't get them until way, way later in G/S/C, they were well worth the wait. When they expanded the pokedex in Platinum to include these guys, Houndoom has always been my go to fire type in that game (unless I choose Chimchar).

Gen 3. Gardevior. Another pokemon that a pain in the ass to find, tricky to raise, but is so worth the effort. A soild psychic type with a great movepool that compliments their high special attack.

Gen 4. Garchomp. I freaking LOVE this pokemon! This is the kind of pokemon that you love to use, but hate having to fight in battle. A massive attack stat combined with a powerful movepool are some of the reasons it got banned in official tournaments. Combined with its Mega form, it even sends Fairy types running for cover

Gen 5. Chandelure. A very unusual pokemon with a creepy pokedex entry (it basically eats your soul to power its fire) This Ghost/Fire type is a really powerful special attacker. Its speed kind of sucks, but give it Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball, and Calm Mind and you've got a force to be reckoned with.

Gen 6. Greninja. A pretty popular choice, but for a good reason. This thing is wicked fast with a great special attack stat and good move to back it up. This thing singlehandedly swept a gym leader and 2 Elite 4 members for me. While the tongue-scarf may look a bit weird, its skill in battle is enough to overlook it.

The times I've had a Cloyster sweep, because of Focus Sash/Shell Smash/Skill Link/Icicle Spear, filled me with joy. I like Skill Link stuff, go figure. Honourable mention, Blastoise.

Gen 2: Slowking. I like Kings, the design of them and medieval stuff in general, and I like the idea of something 'stupid' becoming something smart. Honourable mention, Phanpy.

Gen 3: Grovyle. Not Sceptile, Grovyle. There are several reasons for this. One being the design, the other being the Grovyle character in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. It ain't the best character, but it's one that stuck in my memories. Probably my favourite character in the Pokemon franchise. Honourable mention, Aggron.

Gen 4: Togekiss. Cute-looking thing, I like the design. That's... Pretty much it. Honourable mention, Empoleon.

Gen 5: Escavalier. I like the Knight/Bug design, and as I said with Slowking I like medieval-like things. Bug and Steel have also been types I've been fond of. Honourable mention, Galvantula.

Gen 6: Pangoro. It's a badass Panda that fights dirty but has a heart of gold. And is probably, considering the fact it can learn Comet Punch and Arm Thrust, a direct reference to Jotaro Kujo. How could I not like it. Honourable mention, Aeigislash.

Out of all of them? Grovyle.

One from each generation? That's a tough question. My favorites tend to be rock/ground/steel types, with a few exceptions.

My favorites would be:

2nd Gen: Tyranitar
3rd Gen: Aggron
4th Gen: Bastiodon
5th Gen: Volcorona
6th Gen: Zygarde

Haunter. It's so fantastic, I played through Gen 2, named it Black Fog (from the (one of) manga) and let it lead my team :3 Things got wrecked when it learned Dream Eater xD

Also, it's incredibly disturbing. It stalks people and licks them, if you get licked, you'll start to sweat and convulse until you die from it... I don't remember Haunter being this awesome when I was a kid =P ("Its tongue is made of gas. If licked, its victim starts shaking constantly until death eventually comes.") And it probably feeds on the souls of humans or life energy or something.

Blaziken, any pokémon that can solo all of Sapphire deserves "praise" =P (and 'Sky Uppercut' is an amazing name for a move)
Gardevoir, because Gardevoir can wreck anything with psychic (and she (mine was female) could learn a lot of different type TMs)
Kyogre, I like it.
Feraligatr, It's a huge crocodile and I love reptiles (I was weird as a child...still am =P)
