My older brother.

Shared a room with him for 15 years, and he taught me everything. He taught me how to read, how to write, how to play guitar, he taught me music, he is the one who explained "the birds and the bees" to his confused eleven year old brother, and he is the one I continually turn to for advice or help.

I see him several times a week, even though he lives about 20 miles away from me. Every Friday or Saturday (depending on work schedules) we get together and have dinner.

He is my hero.

Well that's going to make me feel dorky. ;)

But I get both of my idols from Stargate.

At first it was Samantha Carter and still kinda is, but now its really Meredith Rodney McKay.

Countless times they portrayed the greatest qualities of man, and plus they're cool.

I mean Carter is a woman that is a capable soldier and leader, and McKay is a nerd who gets the girl. Who could ask for more?

My dad. In a world of moral ambiguity and "in Jersey, everything's legal as long as you don't get caugt" being the norm, he taught me what it meant to be a good man and a better person.

Not to say I'm a saint or anything, but I could have turned out a LOT worse.

Game: Benjamin Carmine. He's exactly like me in so many ways.
Hmm most peoples' heroes aren't killed before they do anything notable...

On Topic: My hero would probably be Private George Gordon Haggard Jr., The demolitions expert from Battlefield: Bad Company. In close second is Captain Price from COD: 4

This real life/ game stuff seems to be catching on so ill continue with the trend :)

Real Life: Literally any service-men, (nurses fire fighters ect) you can guarantee they will all be incredible people in some way)

Game:Arbiter (now he is used as a generic example as the reason why is because of his devout sense of honour, take any character that rigidly applies a strong moral ethic)

In gaming, no-one in particular. They're full of great characters with great features (like very few flaws). Of course, since the characters are fictional this is to be expected. However, if I had to choose I would possibly say just about anyone who I could relate to as someone like me. That is, someone who has flaws and knows what they are, and is just an ordinary guy who faces great challenges and overcomes them. Or any woman in that situation either (to quote Al Murray, "I was never confused").

In real life, again I'm not sure. However, I can definitely look up to people, again, like me, who worked their way up (which I haven't yet done but am attempting to, I happen to be only the second person in my family for hundreds of years to attend university). Finally, other fiction. I would choose the characters of Cassie and Sid from Skins (UK drama for any non-Brits out there), since again I can relate to them.

I generally try and look at people in terms of realism and if I can relate to them in any way...
