Three voices in my head debate somethings and choice. And occasionally I get a voice that says "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us?

If I am reading somebody's autobiography I imagine their voice, I make up voices for novels, I use my own for other non-fiction books. If I had to chose somebody then I would most certainly chose Stephen Fry, in fact I'm imagining his voice as I write this very sentence.

When reading fiction, I hear the character's voice. Anything else I hear what I think my voice sounds like.

It depends, normally it is the voice of the comedian i have seen most recently.
But after reading it tends to be David Suchet (as Poirot)

I use my own voice for third person, and when someone in a book is speaking I make up a voice that I believe is close to that character.

I read the posts on this thread to try and hear my narrator and it's very hard to describe. It's not even a voice. Definitely not my voice though...

Depends what I'm reading. If it's my usual horror reading, then it's usually gandalf in some kind of very morbid mood, or sometimes alan wake because I've played and replayed it enough for his voice narrating things has become stuck in my head.

If it's comedy, it'll usually be Stephen Fry, and if it's non fiction it'd usually be myself, though on occasion Alan Wake can pop in again.

For me it would most likely be John Bell: I just wonder if I should keep the sarcasm.

The guy who does the voiceovers from Jack FM.

That condescending tone of his does wonders for my low self-esteem.*

[small]*This sentence is for comedic purposes only.[/small]

Don LaFontaine - he's the guy that did every film trailer ever until he died in 2008 (more than 5000) - the voice described as "a deep voice that sounds like a seven-foot-tall man who has been smoking cigarettes since childhood"

*edit* either him or Morgan Freeman (http://xkcd.com/462/)

dubbed? i avoid dubs but english Haruhi voice actors are not as grating as english actors tend to be. but Kyon is in a sense a narrating character.

Christopher Walken, regardless of what i'm reading.
Wow that must be really weird when reading.

Sadly just my voice I think, but it would be so cool to have Ron Perlman in my head

Edit: Actually I'd love to have the voice of John Hurt narrating

Aurelio Voltaire Hernández, the majority of the time.

For those unaware of who this man is, listen to the man singing:
