So I've started playing Aion again after a long break and I've discovered that it's pretty much my favorite MMO ever made.
Though right now the player numbers are quite low for an MMO so I was wondering if anyone from this site played.
If you do tell us what you like about it.
If you don't then rag on it as much as you like, this is basically just an Aion discussion thread.

I mostly just like the art/aesthetical design of the whole thing along with music it makes a really nice feeling game.
The rest of it's quite solid in my opinion but the end games a little lacking though forgivable because the games free to play now.

Obligatory youtube channel whoring
But yeah that's about all I liked of the game. Otherwise it just... dull. Very much so. I'll stick with Guild Wars to get my MMO fix.

Its free to play now? Do i still have to buy the game? Or can i just download it? If it's the latter i will surely try it out.'

Played Aion for about a month, post launch. Still the best character creator in an MMO yet, extremely flexible. Churned out pretty, well animated characters. World was bright and detailed and visually evocative.

Actual game play was a murderous grind. And not by today's "Herp Derp everything is a grind!" idiocy, this was some serious old testament grind. The game didn't handle crowds well either, it turned into an absolute slide show as people got boxed into fewer and fewer zone instances. When I ran into town and saw 100 people standing around and my frame rates fell into the single digits, I wanted to scream.

Final analysis...the game was beautiful, but almost an active punishment to play. It was a Korean grinder right down to its soul.

It's completely free now, that's what made me come back to it.

Basically.
It just nailed the grindfest so well that I like it.
Definitley not for everyone. (or really anyone but a select few)
