Calling all Doctor Who fans, I was just curious as to which incarnation of the Doctor you all were introduced to. I was lucky and my first was Genesis of the Daleks with Tom Baker. (The Fourth Doctor)

Eccleston as the 9th Doctor in Rose.

Although I believe I saw the old 'Dalek Invasion Earth 2150AD' first but didn't know at the time what it was and just thought it was a cool old movie with murderous pepper pots on wheels.

I think it was "New Earth" with David Tennant. I didn't plan on watching it, but it was on at a friends house and it looked pretty good. I went and watched the Eccleston series on DVD as well, but David was my first Doctor. And, in my opinion, was the best.

EDIT:

I knew it was only a matter of time before you turned up in this thread! You got here faster than I thought though!

Tom Baker, and I can't remember the title off hand, but it was one of the Key to Time episodes.

Thanks to Netflix I began with the oft-underrated Christopher Eccelston in his first episode.

Peter Davison in Arc of Infinity. I only found out what the episode was about ten years later, since all I remembered from it was the man himself being staser'd by Maxil.

Colin Baker shooting Peter Davison. Huh, I never realised that.

"The Eleventh Hour" with Matt Smith. I love him as the Doctor, but I also keep in mind that he was the first one I saw. Watched all of season 5 and what's out of season 6, and am currently watching the seasons with David Tennant.

I started watching Doctor Who on Netflix, and since only the new series is avalible, I watched that from the beginning. So, Christopher Eccelston

I'm too young to have been around when the old Doctor Who was on, so my first was Christopher Eccleston (who I had previously seen in The Second Coming) in Rose, the first episode of series 1.

My first episode was Blink, which was technically a 10th Doctor episode, but he was in it for all of 5 minutes. My proper introduction to the Time Lord was Eccleston's first episode. Shame he didn't stick around longer, he was good.

Tom Baker, the best Doctor. Evar.
I think it was his first episode, which came with my favorite quote of all time "You know, just once I'd like to meet an alien menace that wasn't immune to bullets."

The newer Doctors are ok, but they pale to Tom Baker due to a distinctive lack of scarf.

I saw the BBC 2005 reboot, I loved the ragged semi-ruthless doctor.
It's a shame they replaced him with another one. And then another one.

I highly reccomend Genesis of the Daleks, I thought it was great and it's what got me into the Doctor. I only found out later that it was the "no. 1 episode of Doctor who ever"

It's very hard for me to remember at times.

I was only a kid at the time, but I remember that I stumbled upon Genesis of the Daleks at one point. And another, I was watching the whole of Planet of the Spiders, John Pertwee's last episode. I might've gotten hooked around then, because I kept trying to find it alot and saw Sylvester McCoy episodes at their initial broadcast for a while.

Then, my older brother got into Dr. Who and Babylon-5 and Blake's 7 and I got into those as well, and he started me on Revenge of the Cybermen.

I watched the Tom Baker days with my step Dad when I was little. So Tom I guess, the first series I remember was The Invasion of Time.
