My idea for the Twelfth Doctor was Colin Morgan, the lead character in Merlin. He's relatively young but give it a couple of years and I think he'd be perfect for the role. What would be really fantastic if they gave him a sort of old man attitude, like the First Doctor, as a juxtaposition to his youthful appearance =)
Except Colin Morgan was in the episode "Midnight" already. That'd be surreal.

Jedward! Who says the doctor has to be a single entity? He could become twins. I mean, look at the picture, it's perfect. (bowties are cool)
They could fall out, and rub each other up the wrong way, and get into loads of hilarious situations, and there'd be no need for the doctor to awkardly decide to steal a human to cluelessly drag unarmed in front of the most dangerous beings in the universe.

The fan rage would be so tangible you could walk up it like a staircase.

My first choice for any "Who would you cast" question will always be BRIAN BLESSED! He won't even need a sonic screwdriver, he could just shout at stuff until... stuff happens! x3

But I think it would be interesting to see Stephen Fry play the Doctor next. I'm sure he could talk all the bad guys into peace, even the Daleks x3

Maybe. Though there are quite a few Sci-Fi shows where actors who played bit parts come back for named or starring roles. Tim Russ was in loads of Star Trek shows before Voyager, and the same for Christopher Heyerdahl and Mike Dopud in Stargate.

They are Irish twin 'singers' that got really far in The British X-factor (as one of the so bad it's good acts)

You may remember them from the music extravaganza that was last years Eurovision Song Contest, where they represented Ireland:

Strangely enough, Ireland didn't win, even stranger is that they are singing again for Ireland this year.
They also got to meet Barack Obama when he came to Ireland. Yeah...

Let me tell you a story about a boy. When he was young, he watched a television program known as Dr. Who. He loved the show, and watched it religiously. He decided then that he wanted to be like his hero, the fifth incarnation of the Doctor.
And so, he began acting. Through years of work, he finally was able to achieve his dream, and he became the Tenth Doctor [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0855039/].[footnote]That's one.[/footnote]
During his run as the Doctor, he played in a certain episode [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Doctor%27s_Daughter] with Georgia Moffett, the daughter of the Fifth Doctor's actor.[footnote]That's two.[/footnote] In that episode, Georgia played Jenny, a partial clone of the Doctor[footnote]That's three.[/footnote] (who is referred to as his daughter).
Several years later, they had a child and were married.
That child's name is Olive Tennant.

And she is the ultimate Time Lord Baby.[footnote]See one, two and three.[/footnote]

She deserves to be the first female Doctor.

....Wait, you asked for the 12th Doctor specifically? Then just let me steal this:

I vote for Gary Oldman. He's a fantastic actor, and he plays characters with a borderline psychotic personality really well. I'd love to see him flip out after his human friend is captured. He might be considered too old for the role though, but lots of the previous doctors were older.

Edit: Also Jeremy Irons, Or Charles Dance, but he usually plays a villain or nefarious character.

Karl Pilkington, I want to see a doctor who is like why bother traveling you have all you need right at home, crisps, the tele, why bother going through space and time.
