Once in Eve I was scouting for a friend of mine, and for those who don't know, in hostile space you need to scout the gates between systems incase of a camp, so you simply say, "gate clr, jump through" on vent- voice comms are vital.
After a couple of gates I was beginning to wonder where he was, because he didn't seem to be following behind... all the gates and systems have been completely clear, and there were no reports of hostiles on the Intel Channel, so I just kinda kept going, it all seemed pretty clear.
Here's a rough transcript of what happened next on ventrillo...
Jack > There's hostiles in this system... are the gates still clr?
me > Hold up they must have just jumped in - I'll jump back and check the outgate...
me > There's no one here...
Jack > What system are you in?!
me > Uh... 2UY-4
Jack > WHERE ARE YOU?!
me > Hang on..
Jack > That's like 8 jumps away?! - wtf - why are you out there?!?
me > Hang on, I'm trying to figure out whats going on - where are you - hows the system look now?
*silence*
me > Where are you?
*silence*
me > Jack I need to know what system you're in...
*silence*
me > Jack?!
me > WHAT SYSTEM JACK?!
Jack > 9-U - hurry
me > what why? have you been aggressed?
*silence*
*silence*
Jack > YYESSSS!!!! IM BLOODY DYING - WHERE ARE YOU?!
me > I'm on the gate - er - I'm coming to save you
*many curses later*
Jack > youre an idiot you know that... worst scout ever...
Turns out I had set the wrong dest. in the computer, and was going the wrong way... My buddy lost his ship, and I don't scout anymore...
Also the other people listening on vent basically pissed their pants listening to it all happen...

Also I often mess up nades and have them bounce of walls/doors/window frames back towards me and whomever im with - Of course I can see that I've missed and run... but my team-mate rarely notices...
