I'm hopeing that if they do make an Elder Scrolls 5, it'll be more like Morrowind.
Also, I hope that they have more than 5 voice actors. Atleast have one voice actor per race.
I'd like to see Elder Scrolls 5 take place in Akavir and follow the Nerevarine. (you could hear people talk about how the Nerevarine went from Morrowind to Akavir on some expedition) Sure, there probably wouldn't be any friendly NPCs up in Akavir, but I'm sure that Bethesda would think of something.

I hope there will be more than three elements, and more than three types of spell attacks. Maybe they should just copy and paste The "Midas Spells" Mod directly into TES-V.

I'm looking forward to it, but I hope that a lot of time will be put into looking for bugs.

I'm looking forward to it, but not in an "OhmyGodOhmyGodOhmyGodOhmyGod" sort of way, or a queuing up on release day way or even a getting it on release day way. Just a thing to keep an eye out for, really.

This. But they have to keep the Imperial Guards' voice actor. And rebuild Kvatch.

That said I wouldn't mind seeing Elsewyr or Black Marsh in a game.

Id like to see a slight throw back to Morrowind.

In Oblivion, you could only choose between the Fighter, Mages, Theives and Assassins Guilds. 4 guilds. Thats it. I'd have liked the oppertunity to join the Blackwood Company perhaps, or the Necromancers. You know, been the bad guy. Much more choice between groups to join in Morrowind. Made playing through several times more interesting.

I'd like to see more than 1 road. In Oblivion, the Imperial City was in the centre, and to find another city, all you had to do was walk down a straight road to get there. That was if you bothered. Right from the off you could instantly teleport to the next destination. Bringing me to my next point.

A more interesting fast travel system. Opening a map and saying 'I wanna go there' didn't really do it me. I like to get drawn in, and the magic teleport system didn't really help.

I'd also like to see a variety in architecture. Yes, the cities did all look different, and have their own personality. But it wasn't a patch on Morrowinds amazing diversity.

Bring Back Levitate!! I know why they got rid of it in Oblivion (for those who don't it's because the cities are in different cells, and therefore levitating over the walls would have broken the game) but I don't care. My favourite character on Morrowind was a heavily armoured Mage. Levitate was my most frequently used spell. It was just rediculously useful for dealing with mountains, and rediculously good fun.

Alteration, Illusion, Mysticism, and Restoration. I found these schools of magic to be next to useless in Oblivion. Alteration especially felt like a massive downgrade. As a mage in Oblivion, it was easier just to upgrade armour for defence, alchemy for money, and destruction for offence. I never really felt any need to bother with anything else. Please, please, please upgrade them again.

Finally, that bloody leveling system. Please get rid of it. It just ruined the whole point of leveling up. You never got the same God like feeling you did in Morrowind.

I'd like to point out that as much as I critisize Oblivion, I do love the game. I have spent hundreds of hours on that game. I just believe that in certain areas the game could be seriously improved.

EDIT - I wrote this huge rant and forgot to mention where I'd like to see the next game set. For me it would have to either be Summerset Isle, or Morrowind Mainland (I'll explain in a mo).

Summerset Isle, home of the Altmer. I honestly just thing it would be interesting to see where such a magnificent and fascinating race would live. More so than say some woodland huts and treehouses (Bosmer and Khajiit).

Morrowind was actually set on the island of Vvardenfell, which is only one part of Morrowind. I would love to see what the Morrowind mainland looks like, and how the other Dunmer Great houses live.

Morrowind was destroyed in the Infernal City novel, which takes place after Oblivion (sadly).

I would like to see a return to High Rock, mainly for the Bretons.

I dont care where it takes place just so long as they have more variations in the kind of terrain you can go through. Oblivion just had some coast, green hills, and mountains. I want desert towns, swamp villages like in morrowind, dense forest, maybe a couple islands.

In my opinion, they should add more depth to the gameplay before they do anything else. It was pretty bullshit in Oblivion that your fighting style with a short sword is the same as your style when fighting with a warhammer (albeit you did at least swing the hammer less quickly). I think the stealth system also needs to be upgraded, and they should incorporate spells and other magical attacks into the stealth attack system.

Diehard fans of the series might really disagree with me here, but I would actually prefer it if they made the gameworld smaller than that of Oblivion/Fallout 3. I got really tired of the cookie-cutter dungeons and recycled environments. If they made the scope of the world a teeny bit smaller they could put into it much greater detail. The same thing goes for NPCs. Cut a number of NPCs and you won't get as many NPCs that have nothing to say and sort of just stand around doing nothing.

Lastly, they have to use a different leveling system than they did in Oblivion.

NOOOO!!

I don't read the novels so I would have had no way of knowing, but thanks for letting me know anyway. No more Telvanni mushrooms or Redoran bugshells? Dang... thats a shame.

Erm...Summerset Isle it is then for me.

I'm pretty sure they're going for the lots-o'-money method and doing an MMO...

I really hope I'm wrong though. Like many have said, I'd love to see a bit of Morrowind in there (as in the gaming style, not necessarily Morrowind the place).

Aslong as it has more of a morrowind feel to it, (for some reason, it just felt bigger than oblivion), and a more morrowindish most things, but possibly with some more oblivion thrown into it when it comes to stealth and fighting(but not quests, the amount of quests in things like the thieves guild seemed abysmal to me in comparison to morrowind, sure the final quest was brilliant but come on)

That's true but remember V is going to be 200 years after Oblivion, and if I remember right the book was about 40 years after Oblivion, so 160 years could easily be enough time to rebuild for a new game in Morrowind.

I personally think it will be in Skyrim though. It makes sense because Bethesda trademarked the name Skyrim a few years back, and not Summerset Isles or anything else.

Pretty much this.

Gonna let the modders have some time with it, first.

Me. But I'm hoping for a better main story than that of Morrowind("just" quite good) or Oblivion(Ok at best). [Side quests/world where really good btw]
