I thought this would be an interesting topic to discuss about on the Escapist.
For the time I've been here on the escapist I always see people awarding each other on the Escapist with a picture of a cookie whenever they get a question of some sort right.
This got me wondering.
Why does it always have to be a cookie and if it wasn't a cookie what would it be?
If it couldn't be a cookie I would use this.
You get the knowledge and satisfaction of knowing the answer to my question before anyone else could. Use it wisely
I used it once before.
Yes, I know I'm a diabolical genius.
Note: Does anyone know how or who started with the talk of cookies on the Escapist?
I say "Do you want a medal?" quite a lot. I think it sounds better than a cookie personally.
I think the whole cookie thing started because of Chris Rock, on one of his stand up shows he said "What do you want, a cookie?"
I prefer cake.... my brother is an excellent baker, and he makes a delicious frosting *om nom nom nom* Or we could award each other chinchilla's, nothing makes a person quite as happy as a chinny chilla
HEY, I did a thread about "why the cookie" AGES ago! grrrrrr...
OT, in my own thread (grrrrrrr) people seemed to prefer the cookie... in a poll, people preferred the cookie to the options of pies, cakes, and the like.
Rewarding a cookie with a cookie? Genius! That deserves a cookie.
OT: I'm not entirely sure why the cookie is so popular. Maybe it's that little jump of excitement when you get one. I know I get one when I have a cookie.
