Okay, Justin Bieber, the latest teen heart-throb pop star.
Why all the hate?
His music is just okay, not like Ms. Montana who sucks, and his image is pretty normal. He's got tame videos, nothing to talk about, and the only thing kind of off about him is his voice.

And somehow, that voice serves as justification to bash Justin, calling him a girl, gay, retarded, other slurs misused way to often, and various other jokes we've heard thousands of times before.

I don't like Justin, but I don't hate him. I'm not a fan, I'm indifferent. So don't bring that up.

So, why the hate?

I could say that he's a moron, but mostly its simple jealousy, when I was an insignificant teenager I wasn't able to achieve such stardom for making nothing in particular and marketing my looks to adolescent girls. Truth be told I dislike people who have somehow fit him into their tastes, not him himself. Though he does seem to think himself the world and beyond. He'll pass shortly however.

I think for most people it's down to one thing; she's marketed to ten year old girls. Everyone else pretty much doesn't care, or gets annoyed when it's thrown at us with the obnoxious adverts everything is thrown in our faces with... the more baaaah-ish of us outright dislike her simply because it's easy/cool/popular/stupid.

I dislike pop music in general. So yeah I have some antipathy towards HRT-patient-of-the-near-future justin but no more than I did LibertyX, Boyzone, Sclub7, Hearsay or Steps...

Not really. There are people here hating the haters, so this is how it works. Lots of people like the music. This means that a moderate amount hate it, which then requires a few people to be ambivalent about the music, but hate those who hate it. Does that make sense? Why I hate him: He is full of himself. His music isn't actually very good. He is writing a memoir about his life.(hes 16 and got famous off a Youtube video what is there to write?) He is making a 3-d Movie about his life (same reason as the memoir).

I dont mind the kid. I mean, he's prepubecient, and once he gets big, he's giong to implode, just like hannak montana did. I dont need to see you dont like music like Alice in Chains, or Smashing Pumpkins, or Metallica, or Skillet, or any other band/musicians. And I definately dont need to see that the afore mentioned bands arnet "compareable" to JB. Everyone has their own sound, and thier own personal music likes. I dont care if you like JB, just as I'm sure his fans dont care that I like AiC. But they dont need to type or say that those bands suck because of it.

So, I guess for me, its that he doesnt act out, there's nothing there. He's squeaky clean, and while thats great for little boys to look up to and say he's popular and famous and doesnt act out, older people dont care. They want an edge, and he has none. Plus, his fans are pretencious f**k heads who need to shut the hell up about why bands with edge, or bands that are "good" to a more mature/grown-up/older crowd are mere waste in comparison to that pussy teenager from Canada. And yes, Canada, I am holding this against you.

Though I'd like to see JB fans get into a fight with MJ fans. Just to thin out the herd of people who piss my off about my musical aspect of life.

Beiber and his "music" is a product created to put money in peoples pockets.
While as real music is a form of art that conveys a feeling or an emotion and is often timeless.
Nobody will remember him or his crap "talent" in 2 years and since his fanbase consist of 99% pre-pubecent girls, his career will not last passed his fanbase first menstrual cycle.

Also, if its hip to hate on popular things, how come there are note any haters for actual GOOD artists, whom has worked their way to the top, not given fame based on their looks and media coverage? (Like: John Lenon, Jim Morrison, Eric Clapton, Neil Young etc)
I will tell you why: Because they were not handed their fat paycheck from the getgo, they had to put in real feeling and effort into their songs, actually WORK for their paycheck.

I dont hate Beiber because he is popular, I hate him because he is boring, a shiny shell of nothing. And when i listen to music, i want to HEAR good music, not look at a pretty boy mediawhore. I feel bad for his fans, they are missing out on real music but instead they listen to the shallow crap that Beiber spits in their faces, while cashing in on it.

I think you just pointed out the whole point of why everyone hates him.

He's average, nothing special and yet he is the biggest star in the world at the moment. He has millions of fans who cling to him and are willing to attack anyone who says otherwise, hell when the kid posed with Kim Kardashian, his horde of fans actually sent death threats to her. I think that's the most annoying thing about him, his mindless followers who actually believe that they will marry him. That is one of the major reasons I don't like him for.

because we all need something to hate, I personality hate him because any music star that sings the most bland songs imaginable (I.E. Taylor Swift, Ke$ha, Jason Derulo, black eyed peas) do not deserve to be famous, they simply sing "safe" songs that have nothing unique about them and the public tends to eat it up, meanwhile any band who has a cool, new, interesting sound is buried by filth. Beiber is the worst offender, by singing nothing but sappy love songs and crappy R&B with no redeeming quality and it all of the sudden the biggest star on the planet dispute no one over 10 liking him.

I personally hate him because hes the rorsarch projection material of all that is wrong in the modern music machine churning out songs for the masses. When I see Justin Bieber I do not just see just beiber but all those artists who have their mandated 15 minutes of fame dolled out by a passionless producer.
That his music is 'just okay' is not a good thing, that his image is normal and his videos tame should not be praised. All music should try and bring something new to the table I dislike Justin Bieber not for being Justin Bieber (I have never met him personally) but for being the symbol of the stagnating, risk free pop industry.

I don't really go out of my way to specifically hate him (not like those people who claim he's everything that's wrong with the music industry. Engage in hyperbole much?) but I do dislike him, partially because hes just a symbol of how quick the music industry, and popular culture for that matter, is to raise a person up on their shoulders and proclaim they are the second coming who will revolutionize all music and dump them off at the first sign of trouble. Another reason I'm rather put off by him is that in his music he seems to imply that, at his age, he has mastered everything there is to know about love. He really seems to me to just be making his rounds like a 3rd place American Idol contestant before eventually fading into obscurity when his appeal to younger girls begins to drain away.
