I get the urge to cry during scenes of violent revenge. You know the mech scenes in both District 9 and Avatar? I got sniffly during those.

Explain that.

Hey, he's right, you are pretty.
Are you guys actually hitting on her...? On an internet forum...? What's wrong with you people?
0_o are you new to the internet or something? you know you don't need to ask that question:p
I'd sooner wonder what they think they'll achieve with it.

actually, I think they're trying to make her feel better because she said she'd been crying. not sure if it'll help, but it's the thought that counts, right?
on the other hand, if they ARE hitting on her, they're taking advantage of an emotionally disturbed girl... seriously guys, does your depravity know no bounds?

Do I look like I'm new here...?

I'll quietly hope for the former, but if the internet has taught me anything it's that... well, depravity doesn't know any bounds...

EDIT: Just realized that I mis-quoted the second guy and made it look like it's the same person... Oh well, too late now...

I cry a lot. Every day. And no it's not the hormones for me, it's the depressions and the loneliness and the thought of being useless. I hate my life.

Yeah, I'm exactly the same way. Anything mildly disappointing sets me off.
My problem is that I'm also highly introspective, and I think a lot about mistakes I've made, or friends I've lost for some reason or another, and that has gotten me to the brink of tears in some bad spots before.

Somewhat on the topic of this thread - Billy Joel music.
I have a playlist of his songs that always bring me to the brink of tears.

That was a rethorical question. you've been here a year longer than I have and have about 6x my postcount:p so I'm not seriously going to ask if you're new XD. As for the depravity on the internet part... I don't think i've actively run into anything that sad on these forums before. guess I should count myself lucky.

another thing that makes me want to cry: this fucking paper I'm writing. It's 3:26 AM here. have to hand the bloody thing in before 22.00 tonight. Go me.

you too? It's not necessarily Billy Joel in my case, but anything slightly like it... phil collins, genesis david bowie and petra berger have some songs that make me feel all emotional.

Not to sound like a macho idiot but I really don't cry. The last time I might have shed a tear was when I broke my hand a long time ago. I'm an artist and 6 weeks without drawing is torture.

Manly Me

Oh for fuck's sake, this is threadworthy? You're making a thread about crying?

People cry. Whoop-de-fucking-doo.

Supportive, Not-Wanting-To-Get-Banned Me

...Yeah, I... cried, a lot during my more pubescent times. Mainly during my suicidal phase and it was usually packaged with tremendous guilt, too. Joy! But, I take it that your crying is more... "Waa", as opposed to "OH MY GOD I'VE HAD THIS PACKAGED UP INSIDE ALL MY LIFE AND I WANT TO KILL MYSELF".

Maybe it's a gender thing.

Internet Anonymity Me

Well, one time I had an argument with a girl, and as I was walking off, I called her a ***** (it was justified. Totally fucking justified). Unfortunately, my mum happened to be working in the canteen that day, and heard. She... actually said that it was fine and that she didn't care, but I was damaged. I went to my room, turned on the radio, and... an ad celebrating mothers was on.

I totally bawled my eyes out. Seriously, I hadn't cried like that since... well, the previous year, but last years spray barely counted.

There.

[sub]Thank God for the internet.[/sub]
this post deserves recognition for its awesomeness in terms of formatting and content
RECOGNIZED!
I'll +1 the 'Manly Me'
but my supportive, no-wanting-banhamma-me would be more of a hey, it's not thaat big a deal, I'm sure you can hold it together if you try enough, at least until you are in private, when its perfectly okay.
BUT i nod in shame at your conduct for internet anonymous-you.

Well.... I feel i must admit that i got a little bit teary after watching the cinematic of the final warcraft III ROC campaign. It was about different races setting aside their differences to defend the 'world tree' from the Burning Legion.

Come to think of it.... o0 WOW WTF HOW SAD IS THAT!?! *hits self*

It's hard for me to get that emotional over something.

Lately I've been sick to my stomach though. Something about leaving in a little over a week because I sold 8 years of my life away to the military because I can't find a job and I got shit to pay for.

I don't cry for real life events. Just fictional moments.
This is exactly the same for me. I couldn't squeeze out a single tear when my ex broke it off with me and I did care about her, but i tear up whenever there's a happy ending to a really long show Ive been watching.
My last tear up moment was the ending of Gurren Lagann, in the 2nd to last episode not the last one.
