So I got bored and decided I'd teach myself Danish using the tools I could find on the internet...3 hours later this has begun to get mind boggling hard and the only reason I haven't stopped is because of some sort of family pride.(My mothers side of the family hails from Denmark.)

So my question to you guys is what things have you done that you could barely justify doing and or cant believe you're still doing.

Playing Maple Story.

I stopped around four years ago, but man that was such a time drain with no reward.

I frequently play games online when I'm not doing well, and all it does is get me frustrated and drag my stats down (not that they matter). I tell myself I should stop playing, but I don't stop until I'm on the verge of having an anger stroke.

Rearranging the bloody pieces of my enemies in Fallout New Vegas to make a sculpture.
I felt stupid the instant I realized what I was doing.

Surfing the web when I have stuff I need to do and still other stuff that I want to do more than surf the web. For example, right now, it's 3:49 AM, and I need to get to sleep. However, I also want to either read my new Wheel of Time book, or play some Half Life before bed. I could have been doing either one of those for the last three and a half hours, but for some reason I'm surfing the web and posting in forums. I really suck at time management.

Most of the stuff where I do what seems pointles is normally better than not doing it. Either that or I'd procrastinate because I'd still kick-arse at my non-science assignments (I'm good at science, but those written assignments ... Grrrr). God I kicked arse at non-objective theory (English, Study of Religion, Drama).

I carried a body and the pieces of his exploded head to the Goodsprings cemetary in the game.
I have no idea why, I was just really tired and I thought it was the right thing to do...

Learning Danish, eh? I'm from Denmark! Good on ya. :D

It's hard learning any language by yourself, though. Do you have any previous knowledge of Danish?

I have absolutely no previous knowledge on the language and the last person who could speak the language in my family died some 20-30 years ago.

Aye, Dane here too! It's one of the most complicated languages in Europe (perhaps the world? Can't remember), because we have 3 vowels that do not exist elsewhere in the world, namely æ,ø and å. (Ae, oe, aa). Very hard for non-Danish/Scandinavians to pronounce. I wish you luck!

OT: I start exploring everything in Just Cause, just cause I can. Then an hour in I realize I'm completely wasting my time, and then I come here!

Yes so far the most annoying thing about the language is it isn't pronounced the same as it's as spelled.I've dealt with french but this is insanely difficult.

One time it was midnight and I decided to clean my room for some curious reason. But after I spent an hour cleaning, I realized that I'm just going to mess it up again almost immediately after and couldn't hope to stop that. So I spend another half-hour messing things up again out of anger... I still have no idea why I did that...

I occasionally find myself doing things like collecting every piece of ore and power crystal in Lego Rock Raiders, then paving the entire cavern with power paths even though I've already completed all of the objectives.

I also sometimes walk the entire distance between towns in Oblivion because I'm bored of fast-travel.

I've also spent far too much time debugging code. I expect lots of people here know what that's like...
