many movies and games always show evil russians doing evil things. a seemingly russian-free plot will have them pop up somewhere
why are russians always depicted as evil?
maybe its cos im english and try to argue with anything america does, but still, in sniper elite, youre an american killing Russians and helping germans before the end of WW2

Because the movies you watch and games you play are made by America. I guess the devs got tired of just using Nazis all the time and went over to Russians. I think that's pitiful, I've seen so many Russian movies and not in one of them were the Americans portrayed as evil beings. Ok so Russia is not exactly a country with peace only in mind but I think that America stands very much in the same boat.

I stopped reading after that sentence, assuming he was being sarcastic...

In case you are not, maybe you are too young, but you should know that USA was on a declared but not open war with Rusia (former URSS) for decades - ever heard of the Cold War?. So, it is obvious that games produced in USA set on a particular time period are going to have the russians as the evil empire, pretty much the same as the nazis in WWII games.
