Sadly, a lot of nice people can still end judging people on those little preconceptions and thingsl ike that - maybe they think your coming on a bit too strong? I know I'm kind of shooting myself in the foot here, but yeah, people will judge you a bit first... just try and get into the swing of how everyone around you is doing, and don't come on too strong. Just play it cool. think of it as a stealth challenge. People arn't going to itnereact with you if they feel your trying too hard. oh yeah, and despite what I said, there IS such a thing as the "right" company for you. Just get in with like-minded people or those you can get along with and go from there! It's the sort of thing that's easy when you stop thinking about it.
Thanks for the advice. I guess I'm just tired of it all. I've been trying to make friends for a mere 20 years and I'm still tired of it. I've decided at this point is if it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, I'll probably end up moving to the mountains and becoming a hermit, like Spider Jerusalem.

Because people is shit. I find I could have a more intelligent conversation with a wall.
God, the amount of times THAT thought has passed through my mind...
Hmm, I've never been quite as cynical as that. But I seem to mostly encounter two extreme sides of the spectrum - either people are pretty unintelligent (but they have interesting things to say) or they are incredibly intelligent yet are completely insufferable, arrogant douchebags
Edit: perhaps a third trope: the popular, chatty blonde bimbo who tries to act overly girly and cute. I can't stick those types.
Edit #2: I could be naming tropes forever. I had better stop now.

I generally respond with a " Im not anti-social, I just hate mostly everyone." And it usually does the trick.

"Anti-social? On the contrary, I'm very social. I just don't befriend assholes, whores and pricks."

That one has gotten me into more fights then i can count.

He did not ask, otherwise, there would be a question mark, and yes, he had the right to be offensive.

My response is "Lets say your right, and i am antisocial. At least im enjoying my life, though considering that you have nothing better to do than to complain about me not being like you, thats rather ironic."

I usually get "Why don't you go out and be with people your age?" from my mother.

Simple; most people my age (at least in our town) are fucking retarded

I don't bother responding, most of the people who would say that to me are the type who think watching TV with others is social whereas playing a game/chatting to people online isn't.

I was reminded today and yesterday at work about why I prefer not to talk to people anyway, back-stabbing bitches...

I usually reply "because all I ever meet are pricks who keep trying to peddle faux-cynicism and a hatred for humanity that, if they actually meant it, would have left them dead in a ditch a long time ago."

And then I come online, realise that everyone's the same and just try to cope with what I've got.
Funny, true, but if you are person I am thinking of then it's also a little hypocritical, based off how aggressive you can be.

You know what? That's exactly what my mum says to me every half a week. It's just what mums do, I guess. :\

"you're anti your anti-so-cial."
You¹re a train ride to no importance
You¹re in love with hell existence
Money is all that you desire
Why don¹t you pack it in and retire
It¹s common nature you can¹t fool me
I¹m just the money that you can¹t let free
Rainy day genius clouds your mind
Don¹t you realize the blind lead the blind

You¹re anti, you¹re antisocial

Oh mister time will you ever unwind
Or just rebuild a new design
Your claim to fame is low and order
The rich get rich, the poor get poor
You put a price tag on what you see
This one¹s for you, that¹s for me
If that¹s winning I¹d rather lose
Why don¹t you listen to my senseless views

You¹re anti, you¹re antisocial
How do you feel ?

You¹re a train ride to no improtance
You¹re in love with hell existence
Money is all that you desire
Why don¹t you pack it in and retire
It¹s common nature you can¹t fool me
I¹m just the money that you can¹t let free
Rainy days genius clouds your mind
Don¹t you realize the blind lead the blind

You¹re anti, you¹re antisocial

ANTISOCIAL

Good song by Anthrax. Pretty awesome opening.

I don't think it's as big a deal as others make it out to be. Most games are single player and you hav ea right to do what you like.

I'm not so good at small-talk as you would call it, so I don't have much to say. I much rather prefer deep conversation as it is meaningful and I can relate to the person I'm talking to. Its not that I have bad social skills, its just that I don't have much to say - especially about things of no meaning or use to me.

It depends on the person asking, mostly. If it's someone I don't mind, I just tell them I'm not having a good day and need some me time. If it's someone I'd rather not have talk to me again, I mutter something about "the voices" and wander off.

you need to go to some different parties - most of the ones i go to aren't anything like that
Every single one I've been to quickly decended into this, hence why I left every single one to do something more constructive with my time.

To be honest I just don't like parties regardless of whats going on in them, the music is always too loud and everybody drinks and thus ends up intoxicated to one degree or another. I just don't see why I should wish to be around that when I could be doing something I actually enjoy.
