The engine itself is apparently rather unstable too, and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if it suffers memory leaks. I'd say the problem is more likely to be at their end than yours.
On a side-note: Can you run it? doesn't mean anythign really. The listed minimum specs on a game rarely let you run it smoothly on minimum settings, and just because it says you pass everything doesn't indicate how it will run.
Read the bit in the italics, there's a download that claims to fix it.
I have no idea if it works since I don't have the game, but it's worth a shot.
The two download links are right above the paragraph in italics, depending on whether you have a nVidia or ATI card.
