Why cant you kill kids?

I often wondered about that myself, for example, if an alien race was trying to wipe out all of humanity, they wouldn't just stop and let the little kiddies go, because you know, that would just be wrong to slaughter the kids after killing every one they know and love.

It's okay to kill old ladies, but it's not okay to kill kids? I wish I could kill those kids from Little Lamplight.

Technically, old ladies are almost certainly closer to the end of their lives. That said, there are some pyschicotic old ladies in video games! (see GTA: Vice City and the ice cream lady).

Overall, I say meh, and I have to ask, why do people seek to kill children in games, and/or old ladies (or rather, the ones who aren't perfectly capacible of defending themselves with guns).

People's obsession with this on this forum is actually pretty creepy.

It's funny, in Fallout 3 you could have sex with a prostitute then mutilate her and cannibalize her corps, but you couldn't purge The Republic of Dave?

If we can't purge the Republic of Dave please just take our guns away, I don't like being able to shoot adults only to have my immersion ruined by a bullet proof kid.

After selling the sweetest and most innocent little girl from Little Lamp Light into slavery, I didn't see the point in making all the children bullet proof.

I also sold Red (a 16 year old girl) and found out that she was going to be a sex slave. Nice, so sexual slavery isn't taboo but child killing is.

I also killed Nova the prostitute in her sleep, and cannibalized her corps. Nice, prostitution and cannibalism are ok, but killing the kids in the Republic of Dave is a no no.

I also bombed Megaton Hiroshima style, killing at least two children in the process. Nice, killing an entire town with an image right out of the Hiroshima Atrocity is fine but killing a child with a shotgun is taboo.

I don't mind if child killing isn't in a game with guns and lots of innocent killable bystanders, but PLEASE don't put children in the game or PLEASE take away our guns for the parts that they're in it.

Didn't you know? Hilter, Stalin, Mao, Jeffery Dahmer, they all couldn't hurt a kid. They are too damned lovable. Wait a second... no they aren't. The first people I want to kill in games are kids? Why? Because drop kicking a toddler is frowned upon in real life, and I want to have fun in my games. Also, considering most kids play video games, wouldn't it just be a jazzed up lord of the flies if little Timmy ravages Lamplight? Just sayin....

Funny thing is, is that the game that's been called a wimpy girl game is the only game that does not only let you kill kids, but also lets you torture kids and even toddlers. Obviously I'm talking about the Sims series here. Burn em, drown em, starve em, neglect them, you can do it all. And why didn't Jack Thompson slaughter this game yet?

He tried and fail miserably. However, he tried the underage kiddy porn idea, and other porn related bullshit that you have to download a skin mod for.
