I'd say out of all the boss fight, fatman and little boy had to be the worst...lol
Oh good god, I hated Ornstein and Smough. Those two would have had even the Dalai Lama chewing his controller in frustration. But I'm glad I stuck with it though, taking them down was seriously satisfying to the point where I couldn't help but shout a rather jubilent "fuck yeah!"

Mind you, the Four Kings were almost as bad.
Heh, I kinda cheated with those guys, I bummed rushed them with two other spirits and managed to get down Ornstein pretty quickly. It was all easy from there, although the time before I tried skilling Smough first...BIG MISTAKE!

Also quick question, who should I deal with next? Seph, the four kings, the bed of chaos or Nito?
The Great Grey Wolf Sif first and foremost. Defeating him will give you the ring of Atrois (sp?) which you will need to enter the Abyss and kill the Four Kings. Though I killed Sif really cheaply by running onto a grassy verge and spamming him with arrows, firebombs and pyromancy.

As for Gravelord Nito, reaching him within the Tomb of the Giants will be a lesson in frustration (not to mention bad for your eyes) without the Sunlight Maggot from the Demon Ruins.

Though I really ought to get a new copy of Dark Souls seeing how I played it so often I managed to scatch the disk. :)
Ok, I just offed the Kraken (Dumbest, multiheaded creature ever) and I'm heading deeper into the forest. However I also heard that once I go deep enough in, I'm attacked by people that have joined the Defenders of the Forest Covenant. Are they a big problem?

Like many others have already said:

The reason why the Capra Demon is so difficult early on is the addition of the two dogs in there causing some clutter and the off-chance of getting stunlocked permanently.

A friend of mine kept laughing at me for considering the Taurus Demon difficult, saying how I'll hate the Capra Demon a lot more, but somehow I've managed to not die once to the Capra Demon so far on three separate runs. So... Who knows.

Ah yes, the Hyrda / Kraken thing was a pain in the bum to deal with - but you are sort of right about the Forest Covenant players. They only attack you if you are in human form - if not, you will be attacked by the game's answer to human players. Thankfully they aren't as bad as humans - but they are hard to spot plus they deal and take quite a bit of damage. (But they're great for soul farming.)

But my advice to dealing with them is to proceed slowly and once you hear them coming - back off slowly and deal with them away from prying eyes. Though it's funny to kick 'em off the cliff while shouting "THIS...IS...SPARTA!!!" for an instant kill.

Well. Nobody told me that this was the first boss who you could block the attacks of. When I realized that it made fighting him a lot easier.
I blocked the Taurus demon's pretty handily. It seems ridiculous him having the club bigger than me and myself being a wimpy Pyromancer.
Really? Huh. I think I had kind of decided by that point that you couldnt block boss attacks. I also only had a pyromancer who rocked the shield and spear. I thought about how small the Capra demon was and tried blocking his attack on a whim, omg it hurt but I survived it and was able to get past him to the staircase where I could funnel the dogs.Maybe if I had put more points into blocking...

Still, dodge button dont need no points invested in it!

If it wasn't possible to block boss attacks, characters wearing heavy armor would be completely boned in this game. There wouldn't even be a point this way.

You are probably right about your shield being the problem. You should check its physical reduction stat, and if it isn't 100, it probably isn't worth using in most cases, unless it has special properties, or a different reduction stat is particularly high, and you want to use it against certain types of enemies.

You should also look at the stability of your shield: the higher the better, because as far as I can tell, the higher your stability, the less stamina you lose when blocking. You can imagine how important that is against heavy hitters like the Taurus and Capra demons

You can improve your shield stability by upgrading them with shards, but there's no real point in ascending them upon any special paths, like lightning and such.

EDIT: Since both blocking and rolling both cost stamina, by buying endurance points, you are kind of investing points in both of them. The important thing when deciding if to dodge or block is the quality of your shield and your weight class.

If you are light, you can roll a lot, and take advantage of your mobility. If you are medium, roll when convenient, but you'll probably rely more on your shield. And if your are heavy, only roll in the utmost emergency, as your fat ass wasn't made to be rolling around.

A light character could possibly ditch carrying a shield altogether, but this is a very challenging play style, and I wouldn't recommend it for someone new.

That is the reason heavy characters need A LOT of stamina and a big shield with loads of stabilty. They need to take just about every hit on their shield, and if their stamina runs out, they have a serious problem.

Yeah see, Ive only played one character and I only just got to Anor Londo before Skyrim distracted me with its shininess. So im really not quite qualified to talk about Dark Souls. I just hated that Capra Demon so much. I should play Dark Souls some more....

It's the very first 10 seconds of the fight. You really need to get to the stairs and get the dogs down ASAP or you're pretty much fucked.

It took me about 6 tries to get the bastard out. Those dogs pinned me down and the demon finished me off.

Son of a ***** those 2.... so many hours spent trying to beat them i got to 4 kings and got through after a few attempts but my god those 2 /rage.

On topic, yeah capra demon kicked my ass reasons being i like to run around and watch how the boss's work before tentavley poking them. So yeah reasons it hurt so much for me 2 stun locking dogs, and TINY room.

Once i found the stairs and created a choke point and spammed fire all was well in the world.

That's the way to do it. But as for poking the Capra Demon tentatively... giggity!
Mind you, Seath the Scaleless is pretty annoying if you don't have the Cursebite Ring and a ton of humanity.

I went there with the Drake Sword. Then again it was easy:
Run up the stairs so the dogs can only come one at a time, thus making them manageable.
Then, where there are no dogs it's quite easy

The worst thing about the capara demon?

[quote/]Later on theres an area with several capra demons near each other. Though i think they're a bit weaker than the boss one.[/quote]
