I love everyone bashing motion controls because you can't play hardcore games on them. I wondered when gaming became all about being hardcore?

Everytime I see someone post a comment about it not being hardcore enough I am always reminded of the "EXTREME" guys from Harold and Kumar.

Know your place junior. Beating Super Mario Bros or Metroid (without Justin Bailey) back in the day was the very definition of hardcore.

It's not about games having to be hardcore, but it's an appropriate defense. Take the Wii: It's (for lack of a better term) appropriate for nintendo because they arn't heavy on shooters or intense games. For the XBOX and PS3, which have a number of shooters and intense action games, the motion controls fall short. it alienates a niche in the market.

Flicking your wrist to walk with the connect for example... Can you imagine trying to run/strafe/jump/aim/fire/and turn around at the same time?

Sure it'll fit games like dancing games and sports games, but shooters, hack N'Slash, and a few other genres are gonna be laid aside should they decide to focus on this
