Why do devs still release bad PC ports?

Why do you paper to wipe your ass, when you can just wash your hands later?

But seriously, it's all about the money.
Gaming companies don't care about us, they care about money, they make games purely for money.
That's why they (as been said by almost everyone in this thread) release bad PC ports.

GTASA was great. One of the few console ports I've seen that actually works as it should. GTA4 is.. okay. Pretty performance hog, but it's playable. SR2 .. now.. ehm.. wow. That, my friends, is the best example of a shitty console port to date. The year 2003 graphics, but running like it's the next installment of crysis, or some future game (in terms of perfomance). If the graphics are on par with GTASA, why the hell doesn't it run like it? The least you could have done is remove the console buttons from the menu and enable mouse support for it (and proper widescreen support, 1680x1050 .. as always)!

Sigh.

I long for the days that games were released on the PC before they were released on consoles. Or a decent company that does the port. But hey, less costs to port -> moar profitz! I'm really not one of the people that cries out "PC gaming is dying", but if it was, this is how it would look like. Lots of shitty console ports.

The release of a bad PC port is an epic tale, each one marking a new chapter, in the eternal conflict between Lazyness and Greed. Often, the battle will end in a stalemate, but the damage has already been done; the game is left to limp out into the world, broken, and starved for attention.

After I played GTA IV on my PC, I said "This is what I get for waiting so long. A game that I have to turn the graphics down to as low as possible to get it to run even though my PC can run Crysis on Very High. Not fucking fair." That's why I no longer play PC games.
Not playing PC games is not an option for me. Until consoles offer keyboard/mouse support, the control system will always be, in my professional opinion, fucked.
If I could hook up a mouse and keyboard to my PS3, that would be, in my opinion, the best console ever.
