Everything exists because it can. Just like you make stupid repetitive threads. Because you can.

Also, I think you mean why DOES everything exist, ny why DO everything exist

This is pretty much my world-view. Normally, I have a clever answer, but if I don't know, I either fall back on because it does. And when that fails, I prop it up with the power of my immense ego.

There is no real answer to the first question. As for why God exists and what created him, it is another purely hypothetical and has no real answer. Most religious people I have asked about the origin of God say that there is no origin and he/she/it has existed for eternity in much the same way that the universe expands out infinitely. Whether you actually believe in the concept of infinity or not is really up to you though, I suppose.

This is a poor attempt to get some people to post but none the less I while answer true to your style.

"everything do exist because i make it so"

There. I have no doubt you want some sort of religious/ethical arguement out of this but i must point out to people that it is strictly prohibited to feed the troll even if they seem to be nice. Give answers that are irellivant of religion.

Why do you assume existance needs a reason to exist?
Fact is, you need a reason. As a human being. See, for us to function, we mentally set goals and try to complete them. Life and existance aren't human. They don't need a reason.

I'd even go as far as to say that existance is above reason.

Now as for life, everything is connected to everything else, in the sense of everything supporting and nourishing everything else, even death is part of the renewal-process. And that's a comforting thought.

EDIT: The reason of your existance is to enjoy your stay here on earth, and try to make it enjoyable for those around you as well.

Why do things need reason? We exist within a fabricated imagination of ourselves ever evolving living information language barriers constantly propagating metamorphism within though eggs within thought.

Think about what we are. Why we are. Why we think. Why anything exists. The answer is there clear as crystal and almost impossible to express.

What's with all the abstract questions lately? Just live your life and don't think too hard about it

There is no why. It just is. No conceivable reason except scientific luck through the Big Bang. The universe just is. And even if there was a reason, it's beyond our knowledge. If anything existed before the universe, it's gone now, so we can't answer. We can believe, but what's the point, when we can't make an answer? (unless you jump up on the God train)

I was also hoping that this would be more of a "why do humans exist" thread, cause then I could go "Plastic!". Respect for whoever gets the reference.

This. Cause does not equal purpose. Purpose requires intelligence. Causality, on the other hand, exists because it is simple logic. Logic exists because it is a label we've slapped on a fundamental set of "rules" that govern reality. Why to these rules exist? Because if they didn't, another set of rules would (possibly the lack of all rules), and if those rules would allow us to exist, then we would still be here, asking the same pointless question.

I think did get the reference; Isn't it a stand-up comedian I saw on Youtube? He had a great show about us not trying to save the earth, but merely ourselves, and how we can hardly do any permanent damage through pollution (since on a scale of millions of years, pollution that would utterly destroy the human race will be a fleabite to the earth in comparison). His final comment was about us being created merely because nature couldn't produce plastic by itself.

Is that what you ment?
