It's a simple question, why do they keep letting a man who consistently shits on the universe and is pretty much reviled by just about everybody keep writing for them?

Because he is a fan of the Ultramarines. Space Marine products make up around 80% of all profits made by Games Workshop on 40K.
Thankfully, it seems someone became aware of the shit he was pulling with the Grey Knights (google Khornate Knights for more), and so they got a fucking editor to watch the guy. His new Necron Codex is.... not bad actually. The fluff gives them some more character, and the crunch is average for 5th Edition.

This faff is intolerable. And finally, Ultramarines suck. Imperial Fists are much better, because who needs camouflage, right?

Well I'm glad you posted this and that someone brought up the Khornate Knights thing since when I read that I thought it was messed up beyond belief but I figured it was just something there since I jumped in so late. Guess I can take comfort in closing myself in saying that basically nothing he wrote actually happened and that he's just insane. Also the Blood Angels being allies with the Necrons.

The reason they keep letting him continue? simple he can produce new stuff quick and cheap and as long as people buy his stuff they are going to keep letting him write it.
also the Cron/BA thing is blown way out of proportion and if you read the dex it actually makes sense. (at least from the Cron point of view)

Safe to say is that Matt ward is the biggest space marine fanboy there is,and GW hired him to write lore books. Soon the Ultramarines will beat the heretics so hard that the emperor wakes up due to the abnormal level of asskicking. So the ultramarines and the emperor goes curbstomping the galaxy in the most glorious war ever.
