Why do people dislike meat loaf?

In both senses of the words.

Meat Loaf, as in the rock singer (note the nouns)

and meat loaf, as in the food substance.

The food substance, in my opinion, is delicious and the group has some nice tracks.

Can anyone inform me as to why both are disliked by many?

I've never eaten Meatloaf though; looks scary, plus I don't know if it exists in Britain.

I've never listened much to Meat Loaf. The only time I've actually heard him in a song is the song "Kickapoo" by Tenacious D.

And he was awesome.

As for regular meat loaf... I haven't really heard one sing either.

I dislike his music however the man himself has a powerful voice and a great stage presence, I'd go to see him live just for that

Meat Loaf is amazing. Bat Out Of Hell is one of my favourite albums ever. I was raised on that beauty, and by god, it taught me how to appreciate long songs. Thank you, Meat Loaf. And Pink Floyd.

People dislike meatloaf? Since when? I love meatloaf! And Meat Loaf is okay; I like his acting more than his singing. He was great as Bob in Fight Club and as The Lizard in Formula 51. He wasn't too bad in Chasing Ghosts either.

You're supposed to eat it man... Although, if you stick one in a microwave for an extended period of time (hours usually) it'll begin to whistle. I wouldn't bother though, because if you didn't get cancer yet, after opening the microwave door, you will.

P.S. The meatloaf does make for a nice radioactive lamp though.

This is one of the biggest hits by Meat Loaf. You might have heard it and not known. It's actually quite funny, imo.

The singer has a cracking good voice and I grew up with some of his stuff (Meatloaf and Queen were my Mums favourites) so while I would not buy it, I don't scream in panic and change the channel if he comes on.

As for meatloaf the food - never tried it and have no idea of the flavour/texture.

Perhaps because "Meat" is too broad for them and they don't know which tasty animal they are devouring, but hell a good meatloaf now and then is a nice treat... now I want some meatloaf.

Meat Loaf the singer... I've heard only one song of his: "I'd Do Anything for Love". I got sick of it really fast? Don't know much else about him.

Meatloaf the food... Not bad. Just make sure to get the sauce right.
