Don't worry, once the day of assimilation comes, we will all be as one, and all our petty differences will vanish...=))

Well, if you're referring to hate in real life, there's a huge number of factors. People like to be right and attack other things that are different to what they believe. They could also find what you're into disgusting, or their religion is against it, so they fall back on the stance their religion takes. And still others are just jerks who hate on stuff to get a reaction. That's just a few reasons, there are far too many more to list.

If you mean hate on the internet, well, there's the same reasons as above, but mostly it's because a lot of people are internet tough guys. To put it simply:
They're cunts.

Hatred serves to override our inbuilt resistance to hurting other people. It allows us to harm those that threaten us.

Unfortunately, we tend to feel threatened by people who are sufficiently different to us. So we sometimes come to hate them. And sometimes hurt them.

Well, that's my utterly amateur take on the matter anyway.

Hate is a great unifier of people <.< Without hate nobody would have anything left to fight against.

To be fair, its not a question of whether if you hate something you're a bad person ... it's what you do hate that determines that.
