I will never understand the mind of a pilkunnussija, it?s like they just want the world to hate them... Or they have undiagnosed OCD.

I can just not understand why they must be on all forums harassing other about their mistakes.

Does anyone know why they exist?

It's a sexual deviation - they like commas, that's all. Sheesh, why are you going and discriminating against them? Do you have something against homosexuals or people who like animals, too?

It?s not a literal meaning... It?s a metaphorical one....

If there was a joke somewhere in this thread, it went right over my head.

I know. You still used "pilkunnussija", so I just had to take the chance.

As for why they are...I dunno. I would assume, they aren't correcting others only to enrage them. I'd guess it gives them at least some pleasure. The commas give them pleasure...I'll stop now.

As sad as it is, there are people in this world whose existence is so bland that spelling and grammar are the things they value most.

Pro-Tip: If your ex's new boyfriend is one of these people, you automatically win the break-up.

*googles pilkunnussija*

*shrugs*, I see nerds on this forum getting nitpicky about peoples use of language relating to certain things they're experts in/fans of all the time. For some people that's the use of language.

Personally, I don't generally give a fuck, although I do get pissed off by incorrect use of your/you're and there/their.

I also like to correct German people's English pronunciation as well - 3 years I lived in their country putting up with "haha, you pronounce zeese words very funny, it should be >correct pronunciation<", so I'm determined to spend the remainder of my days giving it right back to ze crafty Germans...

Ahem, I appear to have strayed a little off topic.

Lets think about this. You're Finnish, right? If I came to your country, phrasebook clenched in my anglo-saxon mitt, and started talking at you in horribly butchered Finnish I imagine it would annoy you.

You'd think, "who is this shithead and why the fuck is he yammering at me? Do I look I like I'm specifically employed to direct retards to the station?" and no doubt you would become impatient. Perhaps even angry.

It is really not so different with forums and criticisms of shoddily worded posts. I mean the occaisonal 'e' out of place or the odd 'teh' now and then are harmless but when you see someone who clearly has no clue whatsover it is upsetting.

I?m not Finnish, I?m Canadian, I?ve just learned alot about other countries and their customs and language as most people in Canada have. I just wanted to screw with the escapists a little bit for the lol?s. See what the trolls came up with; that kinda thing.

But yes I have to agree with you that very bad posts that have no grammar or spell checks are unreadable? The thing is people can ignore them and not go through them and tell the person exactly where they went wrong like it?s a religion.

Even then some people take it too far, any post that has any mistake, some people just need to fix; as I said above yay for undiagnosed OCD.

Wow, you managed to find a word so obscure that this thread comes up 6th on Google search.

People complain about gramer becase bad speling is destractung, and can relly confuse a point in argue. I've seen people on this forum write really strong and hurtful rants at another persons comment over a certain subject, only to find out two or three posts later that they actually believe the same thing, but because of bad sentence structure and poor grammar, it looked like they were taking a completely different view.

It's a matter of good communication. If you have something to say, then say it as clearly and easily as you can, because if people have to spend too much effort to work out what you've written they will just ignore it, and what's the point in that?

Ah well, say no more. I knew a Canadian once, Quebecois. Very angry young man. Hilarious but despised "anglo-phones", still he was a marvelous chap.

He gave me the impression that many Quebecois have a penchant for pedantry so I can see why it would make one down on smug folks if you had to live with them.

Yeah, I have something against people who want to have sex with my dog.
They probably want to have sex with their own dog. . . I dont think those people are actually attracted to the animal because of the look, but because of the attatchment. And I somehow doubt other people would have the chance to get emotionally attatched to your dog to that extend. And if they did well. . I think that would be your own fault for showing your dog naked to them. You should put some clothes on it like other sane people, Like 'I' My cat goes nowhere without his tie.

Nikolaz and Volf I wish I shake your hands or whatever appendage you prefer to use. You have managed to cause me to do a spittake onto the screen of my computer which has taught me why I shouldn't drink pop and read forums here. A costly lesson but a valuable one nevertheless.

Also didn't Yahtzee suggest clothing animals in his Monkey Island review? Something about putting a mustache on a cat's arse?

OT I tend to figure it's either a misplaced superiority complex or some confused attempt to make friends. either way I ignore em.

To be fair, not too long ago there was a Cracked.com article about the word, prompting its use on the internet of late.

Regarding the OP, I totally forgot what the word meant until I opened the thread up. I was expecting something related to Pokemon or something. *Shrug*

I prefer it, when people use commas properly as it, helps to break their sentence up, into meaningful segments rather than than disjointed, fragments or points that run on for too long and blend into each other without a clear distinction between them however it's also a problem when you write sentences that drag on too long because you forget about full stops and just comma the shit out of everything, personally I think the dash is an underused form of punctuation.

I'm Finnish and that word is a really practical one. Just not in public since someone might get offended....

Nice to see a Finnish word being used as a term(I think it's a term now). It is quite accurate since it means commafucker, although "nussia" is a nastier word than fuck(at least I think so).

OT I am a bit of a pilkunnussija when it comes to grammar, but since I'm not a native speaker of English, I've never learned the proper grammar rules for commas. Teachers just said "don't use them" and higher up in school when I actually needed to use them, no-one told me how to. Oh well. A long as the text is not riddled with grammar mistakes I can tolerate it.

I-think-your-right; I tend to have rather disjointed thoughts....
