I have to admit, I have taken part in the console wars, I was a firm believer that the SNES was far better than the Megadrive/Mario was better than Sonic. You know, back when these things really mattered.

These days I own a PS3 and one of my brothers owns a Xbox 360 who I love telling that I'm amazed that it hasn't died yet and he in turn loved giving me shit when the PSN went down. My other brother has a PC and enjoys looking down upon the pair of us. But its all in fun and we enjoy talking about games and what have you whenever the subject comes up.

It's really just fanboyism. People developing an obsessive loyalty to a product they buy to the exclusion of all others. It often occurs in gaming circle because usually a single person can afford only one gaming system, so they will argue to the point of obsession to prove that theirs is "better" and that they made the "correct" choice, while everyone who disagrees made the "wrong" one.

It's pointless and pretty annoying, but it's been going on for over since the beginnings of the industry, and it's not going to stop anytime soon. The best thing to do is just ignore them, kids can get like that, as can adults really.

I only hate people who say "360>PS3 Duhhhh" Because...well they say that. I mean id love to get an xbox but A- Im kinda broke at the moment and B- I played it at a friends house and i HATE the controllers. I prefer my PS3 because i prefer the exclusive titles. But that doesnt mean id turn my nose up at the chance to play Gears or Left4Dead(Rocky5) with a few buddies.
