This is what happens when you have a game that revolves around ranks. They no longer care about objectives and just their stats. Kinda reminds me of a MMO if you ask me.

Here's my personal theory:
The Chernobyl Disaster spread nuclear radiation not just to the northern hemisphere, but worldwide. The fallout from it got into our drinking water, and eventually our bodies. This caused a rare gene mutation that only activated in the offspring of those who drank the water. This mutation caused a birth defect in the children which resulted in either the brain or the mouth switching functions with the rectum, i.e. to spew shit. They would then grow up to become the dude you see in bars with tatoos on every inch of his arm, eating everything with beer, saying that smoking is non-cancerous, and smelling faintly of excrement.

TL;DR Version: Some people have their brain and buttocks mixed up.

I sort of like these threads, because I can empathise based on my experiences in other multiplayer games. They help me understand the poor behaviour I've seen online, as well, by placing it in a broader context.

So yeah, keep venting on these forums, if you feel the need .

I hate that too. Why go onto a game with an objective other than kill everyone if your not going to bother completing that objective (or at least try to) which is why I now only go on them every so often...usually the amount of time it takes me to forget what people are like and actually think they are going to help me

I'd just like to point out that I was making a general statement about my opinion of MW2 users(one of which is me), whereas you were blatantly calling me an asshole. Personal attacks are generally frowned upon on this forum, perhaps you should think twice before specifically insulting one person.

Now that I think about it, never really heard loud, vulgar, and annoying people online. Although I heard that psn has less of them than xbl

It's because on XBL everyone gets a free headset which they can use and abuse to their hearts content. I hate them.

Yes...Let us manage that side of matters...

I know it's probably been said thousands of times before but I'm annoyed.

I just finished a MW2 session and all I played was demolition as it is my favourite kind of match. In one round we where defending and managed to hold them off for most of the round. With about 3 seconds to go they armed one of the bombs, I was nearby, and through force of habit I rushed straight to the bomb. I found the guy who armed it and killed him, then proceeded to successfully disarm the bomb, therefore claiming the round for my team.

During the changeover I was abused by the entirety of the opposing team (they were a clan I think) and some of my own team along the lines of "WHY THE FUCK DID YOU DISARM THE BOMB YOU FUCKING NOOB/RETARD/******!!!11!!111!!"

I ignored them as I usually do with anyone who talks online who I don't know. It got worst the next round after one of my teammates armed a bomb witch was then disarmed, another of my teammates then said, "...and we have idiots on our team who think the objective is the main point." This confused me as...well...it was the main point of this game, then the thought occurred to me: why do they play this kind of game if they don't do what their supposed to do? Why don't they just go play a team deathmatch where they can just kill people to their hearts content without the fear of people ending the game early. I don't know what is becoming of the gameing world nowadays.

Anyway that's my subdued rage done. At least I prestiged.

I wasn't. I was stating my opinion on the people who do what you did. You insulted me by calling MW2 users (being myself) assholes so we were both as bad as each other. I know it is frowned upon to insult one person specifically thus the reason I didn't do it, and instead used a blanket statement much like yourself
