It's a social response, people cry for a lot of differen't reasons but it's all essentially to promote empathy and express feelings, of course that doesn't stop people abusing such functions.
I think I've abused it once in Primany School so I could go home hahaha.

But when shit goes into overdrive, yeah my dads not exactly supportive.
"You need to grow up, George."
"Stop being a woman!"

Yeah because ALL men are supreme badasses who are 100% MAN who are unable to cry.
A real man is not afraid to cry.

I'm a girl, so of course I cry. What pisses me off is that when I cry, it's immediately seen as something other than when a guy cries.

Guys crying = venting / being a wuss (not my opinion)
Girls crying = psycho hormonal indecipherable weirdness?

Idk. It's cathartic. Just let me do it and we'll both get over it.

Also, I'm pretty sure a yawn has something to do with oxygen levels/air pressure? I could be wrong.

Pain, whether that be physical or mental, and for attention when we were babies are what I think are the main reasons.

We cry mostly out of frustration, I've noticed. When you're unable to do/get something your first thought is that there's nothing left to do but mope around.
